Okay, I think I will get to work on Secret of the Gnome lords, I noticed something weird last night when tryin to record data, first battle I got a couple level 18 items, but then I restarted and the level went down to 15 where I would think it would be. Ill get back with actual data later.

Yeah, it has been established that the loot item level can vary as much as 3 levels up or down based on the level of the adventure. Possibly even more. The other night I was doing the Lair of the Yellow Dragon and got a level 13 common treasure.

Thanks for the data! I'm not familiar with Google docs, maybe Piotras knows more. At least the data seems to be there.

If you would like to upload a spreadsheet to this forum for example (sorry if I misunderstood), you can download your spreadsheet as a excel file/pdf etc. (File->Download as->choose file type) and than use the forums upload tool.

While I'm here, here's the link to my stats (25ish for 17th lvl campaign normal chest, 30ish for normal and gold MP chests).

Not playing much but that's better than nothing, right? :p

A note about my golden MP chests - they are a good indication of what to expect if a club member plays his 3-6 MP games a day, but that's it. The golden chests do differ in rewards depending on which subsequent chest is opened, which I realised some time after starting to collect (and mix) the data. But I will continue to do so out of my own interest, to see what's worth more (i.e. 30 MP gold chests, or 'time equivalent' of eye-bleeding SP grind).

I played the Level 7 adventure "Forest of Souls" battles 1 "Forest Border" and 2 "Sunlit Field" for a further 50 times each and got 300 items. Breakdown follows. The "All" amounts include the "Treasure" amounts.

Comparing the numbers from the two sessions reveals differences of up to 4.3 percentage points. The level 6 item % was 49.0 in the first session and 44.7 in the second. This is quite a big variance for these amounts. It strongly seems that even 300 items does not produce very reliable results. I don't know statistics well enough to know how many items we need to lower the statistical error to a good level and even what is a good enough level in this case.

Combining the results certainly evens the differences nicely. I wonder how many items from adventures of a particular level we'd need to hit diminishing returns; that is, at what number of items the percentages do not change much any more? I'll probably collect at least one more batch of 300 level 7 items to see what happens.

Based on this analysis the 200-300 items per level percentages in this thread need to be taken with a stone-sized grain of salt. It seems the statistical error with that kind of sample size can be rather large.

This is the most recent thread on farming, and I have a very interesting observation to share.

Even when animations are set to 10, there is still a millisecond's delay between each animation. This is particularly pronounced for spells like Firestorm that affect the entire board.

If you click frantically, it makes the animations go faster. I think clicking dismisses each spell before it auto-dismisses, if you know what I mean.

Try it out and see how it goes!

Yeah, the clicking is an essential speed-up technique especially with Firestorm farming, like you say.

Another fast-track farming trick is to go to a tavern when you Return to map. The taverns load a lot faster than any other locations you can go to. No more annoying waiting for a shop or an adventure to load just to immediately leave.

Try this - click on another adventure, click on cancel, and when your party icon is moving to the new adventure(be quick!), click back on the one that you were farming. Your party icon will change direction mid-flight, and go back to the farming adventure. This avoids having to load anything at all! :) Was really pleased with myself when I discovered this.

I played the level 3 adventure "Lair of the Trog Wizard" battle 1 "Scuttler Warren" a further 100 times. This time it took me 3 hours instead of a little over 4 hours like last time. I used Spacedust's trick and a much more farming-optimized team. Loot breakdown follows.
    Code:

The combined results of the two sessions on that map (I didn't break down the first session in as much detail):
    Code:
    All
    Lv	C	U	R	E	L	Tot
    1 113	18,8 %
    2 160	26,7 %

    	72,2 %	20,8 %	5,3 %	1,3 %	0,3 %

Based on all later results in this thread it's unbelievable how many rares and epics I got in that first session. That's a reminder of how variable Card Hunter loot drop analysis results with a sample size of 300 can be.

Quick little anecdote, I recently renewed my membership because I got a legendary in the club membership that I wanted. The next adventure I got another legendary in the last chest. The next adventure I got a legendary treasure in the club membership. So I was happy that I renewed when I did. Three adventures in a row produced 3 legendary items. If I were keeping track that would have definitely skewed a smaller sample size. And that was playing them normally for XP.
