Castle Mitternacht has introduced so many good new items that I can't seem to stop designing new builds to post here Lunging Zombie (Lungenstein?) lvl 18 human warrior Zoltan's Laser Scourge Zoltan's Laser Scourge Eixocl's Hammer Nightmetal Shield Galvanized Zombie Helm Galvanized Zombie Plates Galvanized Zombie Boots Subtle Positioning Focused Bruising This build has 13 x Lunging Bashes and 10 x cycling traits. Remember that Lunging Bash also triggers the Bruisers and Vanguards effects You could easily change Zoltan's Laser Scourges into Pressing Problems; Pressing Bashes don't (AFAIK) trigger the Vanguard, but the weapons are easier to get your hands into, because they're only epic. One of the biggest weaknesses with this build seems to be the lack of proper movement cards, but we are talking zombies here. If you build a team with three of these bad boys, Vanguard ensures that all your zombies will slowly but surely shuffle towards their prey.
Douh! How did I miss these Lunging Bash items?!? Ozone Plates is the better one for sure. Still, Galvanized Zombie Plates is thematically nice here and has also solid cards.
It's a shame really, if only the Zombie Plates had Lunging Bash instead, it would be perfect. Still, Barge is certainly no pushover.
I probably should too, since I'm the one who designed it One could easily replace Focused Bruising with Novice Bruising and Subtle Positioning with Infected. (this actually works rather well, if you only have one Lungenstein in your party)
One other thing that came to my mind is Laser Scourge > Lunginator (-1 bash) Eixocl's > Porior's Nimble Mace (+1 bash) Galvanized Zombie Boots > Bloome's Barging Boots (+1 bash)
Let's welcome the creator of these foul creatures, the one and only Dr. Vankenstein: lvl 18 human priest Vankenstein's Pillar Faulty Pillar Unreliable Heirloom Shield Vankenstein's Machine Cursed Gumshoes Greasy Tome Shock Therapy Kit Shock Therapy Kit Subtle Positioning Ghoulmaker Idea here is to have all the "proper" Vankenstein's gear and as many Spark Of Undeath as possible for lvl 18 priest. Greasy Tome is there, because a scientist needs a notebook and I'm sure Vankenstein gets his hands all oily and greasy from his contraptions. Unreliable Heirloom Shield I chose only based on the look; seems like a makeshift shield made out of zombie leftovers. Cursed Gumshoes mostly for the same reason.
