I meant for some bad guy would be perfect to troll by setting it on tracker page to where it was the prev day but atm there's sth else going on - the update time changed.
I just got it from Frozen Earth too. Which means I've now had the fairy 3x in 48 hours. Not that I'm complaining.
URRE(R) here. Easy to forget how difficult some adventures were when you played them for the first time.
Beneath Frozen: 7 R divine weapon, 6 R staff, 7 E staff, 6 L divine weapon, (7 R weapon) I also got Tempered Flamestaff, along with St. Alipp's Hammer.
URRR(R)@ Beneath the Frozen Earth I got 3 Epics from the 1st and 2nd battles, though, 2x Rockshard Robes and 1x Kraktopus Oil. I don't think the Fairy changes location twice a day. You can just get it twice a day when the moving is not in sync with the adventure reset, this we know is true. My guess it starts the 24h movement counter each time the server is reset. The current moving time seems to be between 15:00 and 16:00 UTC? I'll check when the last server reset we know about was.
Just to add details on the timing. I beat Beneath the Frozen Earth today at right around 11 AM Central Time, and didn't notice a Fairy. I'm guessing he moved sometime after that?
The last server reset we know about was at about 14:30 UTC. I'm suggesting/inferring this is now the moving hour.
Yeah what if the looty switches spot once every 25+ hours. I suggest every 26 hours, Why? Because, just look at the time stamps we hve used. Noon, 2pm and today it did reset later. Not sure if it was at 4.
Okay there seems to be some confusion in what we know/don't know and the timeline of data to infer from. I've gone back and compiled as best I can. All times noted in GMT/UTC and on a 24 hour clock for clarity. On Friday 00:00 the new update came out with leagues (love them!) and the movement time for the loot fairy changed to 12:00 daily. Tuesday 12:00 LF moved to Secrets. Tuesday 14:30 server came back up after unscheduled maintenance. A new build was implemented on Wednesday at 00:00. Wednesday 06:55 LF still at Secrets. (multiple reports) Wednesday 14:40 LF marked at Secrets in tracker. (unconfirmed) Wednesday 15:05 LF reported having left Secrets. (1 report) Wednesday 15:30+ LF marked incorrectly on the tracker multiple times. Wednesday 19:55 LF found at Cockroaches (multiple reports) Thursday 15:50 LF still at Cockroaches. (multiple reports) Thursday 16:20 LF found at Frozen Earth (multiple reports) #3 - @Jarmo this is what you're referencing in your post and it doesn't look to have any bearing. #6 - Identifies loot fairy was no longer moving at 12:00 #7 - At this point move time appeared to be 15:00. #10 - Did not move again at 15:00 the next day. #11 - Appeared to move today at 16:00 Current Inferences The data shows that if the fairy is moving at the same time every day it's most likely at 16:00 with #7 inaccurate. If it is not moving at a consistent time, it could be every 25 hours or completely random (or some other possible algorithm). The data does not support multiple moves a day, nor a 26 hour move. Thanks for everyone who keeps reporting, more data is ALWAYS helpful!
just based on what ive seen so far. yesterdey around 22h i got it then today at around 10am got it at cockroaches and then got it around 17h..and for what ive observed on the last days. usul i get faery in the morning (10-11am) and after lunch (14-15h)
Yesterday 22h Today 10am Today 17h Were all of these different locations? (Getting the fairy twice a day does not mean it moves twice a day, this can be made possible with a single move out of phase with the daily reset which is what we've had since last Friday.)
As long as we have no data to support other theories, it's best to assume it's on a 24-hour move schedule. Why would Blue Manchu create new, more complicated code for this purpose when it has previously been on a simple 24-hour timer? Thanks to Scarponi's detective work it seems the best guess is currently 16:00 UTC. Why the move time has changed is unknown but the simplest explanation seems to be server restarts. I seem to recall every time it has changed it has happened on the same day there has been some server issues/updates etc.
