Barbed Platemail doesn't spike Ready To Strike

Barbed Platemail triggers on Ouch! which is not an attack.

Shouldn't it be the same result for both?

As it was stated in this topic, Ready To Strike indeed does melee damage, but Barbed Platemail does not return damage to the attacker.

I also noticed it does not return damage from charges. At least, not for Rumbling Charge and Mighty Charge

 

Or any other existing charge assuming the above is correct.
