Very close to the build we'll release now. Just a few more bug fixes and tweaks. In this build we added the new starter pack and revised the AotA chests to contain nothing but AotA items. Starter Packs Added the Tezkal Elves starter. Multiplayer Added Waterways league scenario. Modified Cardotron decks Changed Geomancer decks for league. Cards Added hide on resolve to acclerate time. Fixed bad log text for acid pool. Chests AotA chests contain nothing but AotA items. Aota gold chest only contains the one AotA item. Chest drops are affected by animation speed. Updated the AotA pizza menu.
I tried this and the wizard now has at least Fireball and Force Cannon in its arsenal. The warrior has at least Elven Trickery. Interesting times ahead for Cardotron2000 opponents. The priest has at least Triple Heals, which is not devastatingly scary. I played just one match against Cardotron2000 so there's probably also other new stuff there.
Thanks, very much appreciated! If the open/take buttons would overlap the chest UI would be heavenly.
The wording here is a little confusing. Here's what the actual shop says: First chest is less valuable, last one more valuable, middle one may or may not be, depending on whether you prefer 3 C/U AotA items or a Rare basic item.
Quick question: is there any reason why the common chests cost the double of the non AoA common chests, and they contain one less item? Is it because BM don't want to give so easily these items? Or is it because AoA items are, in general, better than the current items? Also, given that there are obviously less AoA items than the current non AoA number of items, does anyone know what is the probability of getting a rare, epic or legendary item from the common chests? Is it the same probability as the non AoA common chests, is it better or is it worse?
I was going to, but Paypal isn't working on the test server right now: Google Wallet seems to be okay, but I don't know how to use that.
The rarity distributions are exactly the same in AotA chests as in the base set, i.e. your chance of getting an Epic, Legendary, whatever. There should be roughly the same proportion of each rarity of item within the set as well. There are 1419 items in the base set (excluding treasures and holiday specials) and there are 209 items in the AotA set. That means that opening a chest that only contains AotA items gives you a much higher chance of collecting any specific AotA item than the chance that you had of collecting an item from the base set. That's why the AotA gold chest has gone up in price and down in quantity. It's double the price and half the quantity, so basically 1/4 the value. However, in some sense, it's still about twice as effective as a means of collecting AotA items than the basic gold chest was as a means of collecting base set items because there are so many less of the new items. Now the pizza chests haven't changed in price and so they are much better value for money. Why? Because they've probably been too expensive in the past.
Ok, so I like the changes to the AotA chests. Chests basically function like your booster packs, and this makes AotA chests act like expansion boosters would. So if you were looking to pick up cards from AotA, these are the chests to buy. Will the standard chest shop only pull from the "Base" set (the 1419 item set) or from all items?
