i recently had the issue that i upgraded to windows 10.... it uses direct x 12 and was told that there are a few games that do not support direct x 12.... aparrently cardhunter is one.... are there updates planned for the future to remedy this? any info is welcomed!

Yeah, we don't know what the Windows 10 issue that some people are seeing is. I don't think it's anything to do with DirectX - it seems that the game can't load the Steamworks API on startup. Unfortunately, we haven't been able to reproduce the issue yet, so we're not sure how to resolve it. Do you happen to know where your Steam library is? You can find out from the Steam client - Settings - Downloads. I'm curious at to whether using a non-standard library location might be an issue.
Works fine for me on Win10 - wonder if it's a graphics card driver that's misbehaving under win10, but OK in Win7?
What most people aren't reporting isn't a graphics issue - the client starts up fine, but then can't connect to Steamworks. That seems more likely to be a DLL loading issue.
