The most hated item of all time:
Hope for the RNG
Staff, Divine weapon &weapon
Also very hatted
Arcane item level 21
So here are the items I didn't submit to AA#9...
First of all, I'm the sort of OCD person who sees holes and tries to fill them, and AI had 3 obvious holes:
martial skill usable in all handicap quests
Spoiler: the lame
First I was going to make a level 12 common treasure (the level of the hard modes). Then I noticed that the game doesn't have any level 11 treasures yet (another hole!) so I changed it to that.
But I still needed a name, and it had to be a good name, because that's basically the whole entry. I wanted some silly treasure or reward that became a running gag in the podcasts, but I couldn't find any way to turn "green fire" or "acid trap" into a treasure. I came up with Fake Treasure Map and Forged Contract, but I don't know if such things ever show up in the podcasts.
Spoiler: the silly
Helmet is warrior only, Binwin is the AI warrior, Binwin drinks a lot...
What if Binwin had a vision of a modern sporting event, saw a beer hat, thought it was a wonderful idea, and immediately strapped a pair of tankards to his helmet?
Binwin's Beer Hat
level 3 rare Helmet
Everybody Drink!, Toughened Hide Strips, Slowed
This would have been my entry if I hadn't come up with Green Flame.
Spoiler: the disqualified
Martial skill is warrior only, Binwin is the AI warrior, Binwin drinks a lot, but I needed a handicap, saw Morsel...
What if I made a Seven Deadly Sins themed item? Morsel is perfect for gluttony, Blind Rage for wrath, and Slowed sorta works for sloth, and I could call it Vice Champion.
But it didn't really seem appropriate for Binwin (and I really, really wanted to use Morsel and not Everybody Drink!), so what if Omin secretly indulged when nobody was looking and I made a divine skill called Superb Hypocrisy? Again, that doesn't seem to fit his character.
Actually, the bad boy of the group is clearly Jim, and since the AI human skill was based on Omin, Jim never got a racial skill. And the seven deadlies seem a particularly human thing, and Slowed already appears in that slot... (Though it seems Jim's usual sins are all the ones I'm not using.)
level 1 rare Human Skill
Morsel, Blind Rage, Slowed
I don't think Flax and Jon will allow Morsel on items, so this is being saved for the next OO.
Spoiler: the irrelevant
Still trying to get a handicap quest usable martial skill, so how about this?
level 6 legendary Martial Skill
Impetuous Slash, Impetuous Slash, Blind Rage
This is the warrior's version of Electroporter Novice, and doesn't really have anything to do with AI (Jim is the one who hits his allies), but I'll submit it to a later AA even though Flax and Jon will likely reject it for being a tokenless triple trait skill.
Perhaps a submission for a future AA
Weapon level 13
Potat's hidden daggers
6 monster cards and poison. Good luck with that.
It's best saved for when the rogue class is released. IF the rogue class is released.
That's an elf on the Acrobatic Flip card instead of a monkey. Maybe they intend to have it be a player card at some point.
It used to be, but it was so weak they replaced them all with a new card: Disorienting Block.
Hmm I feel that if there is ever a rogue class it should have Poison cards.
Edit: on another note this weapon at max output is 39 damages, is there a weapon with that's has more damage then this one?
The Hackmaster (56), The Bludgeonator (51), ...
@Pawndawan thanks for the answer. Are those the only ones with more then 39 damages or are they're others?
There are more. Scarponi has compiled a list of weapon base damages, but it's a bit oudated. It doesn't contain EttSC, AA or AI items, but it's still a good starting point.
Where's all the music?!
All Out Lashing
Bargain bin laser rifle:
Syrup of Ipecac
Heavy armor Level 21
Perhaps for a future AA
Fire Fist Gauntlet
Separate names with a comma.
