mmmh, sorry for the OT but I played somebody earlier today (on dojo, possibly?) whose dwarf used the Fiery Stab to good results, and I think his nickname was systemsomething. Any chance that might have been you?
You can check the match results of yours (Go to Results, tab Mine) to know the exact name of the players you played with.
Yeah, I know that. The name of the player was system_klm or something like that. The point is, it wasn't "SystemIsDown" exactly (that much I'm sure about), which is why I'm asking. Your ingame username and forum one aren't required to be the same after all. But again, that was pretty much OT. Thanks anyways for the heads up
I'm looking at a few arcane items and was wondering what you guys think/value: Hurricane Stone, Pin Of The Painful Mirage, and Sizzling Chain. The pin has two Wall Of Illusion, but I've never tested those out. How effective are they? Pros/Cons?
so wall of illusion is interesting, it blocks the view of range attacks but you can pass through, but from my experience it's like a difficult terrain (so it will stop your movement). I'm not sure if you can cast spells/attack in range while WITHIN the wall, but my guess is that it is similar to smoke bomb and of course WW and WWE are super effective if used well, of course don't expect to make friends when using it I would take the pin, PoK and wall of illusion are cool in my book
I would insta-buy it without further ado. Obviously, that's only if you're interested in a Mass Frenzy build at all. Oh and btw, two more days until good Randimar's restocks, so don't lose your hopes just yet. You might get some lucky, legendary treasure drop.
Hurricane Stone WW & WWE are good panic buttons. I much prefer the Runestone Pin Of The Painful Mirage I find I can easily manuver around WoI, although it can be used to remove lava and bless Sizzling Chain, Awesome, would insta buy
First time poster, so let's see if I can link these things properly. I've got 2 legendaries and 10 epics sitting in the shop. The legendaries are: Nasrum's Moccasins and Sabo's Flamespit Staff The epics are: Advanced Command, Bec De Corbin, Bloody Battleaxe, Kerrick's Steel Boots, Nifty Halberd, Perfect Insight, Rod Of Palver Pree, Scintillating Robes, St. Voral's Charm, Staff Of Glowing Coals Of them, I'm thinking the Moccasins are decent, Kerrick's Steel Boots are good, the Rod of Palver Tree is interesting and I'm on the fence about it, and I like the Staff of Glowing Coals, but I'm not a fan of the 2 blue gems for it. I play single player exclusively right now and I tend to run levels 1-10 every day, so spending 2 blue gems on a staff is just very expensive. I'm currently sitting on 3554 gold. The legendaries cost 2500 and the epics cost 500. I've got a legendary treasure and an epic treasure that I can sell, I just think they look neat, so I haven't sold them yet. And why is it that my prices are different from others? Does this vary by account, number of times you've purchased, or does it change weekly? Let's see if I linked those items properly...
Is Flame Spit AOE? I've never seen it before. Even if it is, I don't see Sabo's Flamespit Staff being worth that kind of coin, and the Mocassins are nothing to write home about. Staff Of Glowing Coals looks like the real pick in this set. I love Volcano, and I'm starting to love Firestorm. After that, Kerrick's Steel Boots and Bloody Battleaxe look pretty cool.
It kind of depends if your going to get into multiplayer or not. For example Advanced Command is a best in slot item if you want a sprint team so is great for the third character in a double warrior team. I use it currently and also use Nifty Halberd in my current multiplayer team as it is the only tokenless item that can get nimble strike so is well worth having a few weak attacks that can just be used to eat up an enemies parries. Bloody Battleaxe is a very decent weapon for doing the drawback quests after you have finished the campaign, I used it on my warrior once you have enough tokens. For single player I would say the best item is Kerrick's Steel Boots, I have 3 copies of them but never use them in multiplayer though as movement is much more important.
Flame Spit is single target. It puts a DoT (Damage over Time) on the target and assuming no damage prevention, deals a total of 8 damage after three turns.
Flame Spit is single-target. In a case of irony, it seems we've been getting cards the other hasn't. Even though I began this game a couple of months before beta ended, I've never used Volcano, mostly because I've never had it before. Firestorm is one of my favorite cards in the game, though. It's amazing how much it can soften up the bad guys or even win an encounter. I absolutely love seeing it come up on turn 1. I can see Sabol's Flamespit Staff being nice on a burn build, but it's not the direction that my Wizard goes in. I'll probably end up picking up the Staff Of Glowing Coals just to test it out. Thanks for the input!
Staff Of Glowing Coals is one of the few staffs that has Volcano on it, that's pretty much what it comes down to. Rod Of Palver Pree is a good no talent arcane item. Useful for replaying low level adventures, or for rounding out a mage build. Kerrick's Steel Boots is a very good item, offering better armor than many heavy armors for a blue token. Because it's boots it can be used by any class, this works wonderfully on a mage, or helps add armor to a priest or warrior. Personally I think this is hands down the best card of those listed.
Advanced Command and Nifty Halberd are the two that stand out the most to me. Sprint, Team! is difficult to get and is very strong on 2+ Warrior teams. The halberd has two Nimble Strike which is amazing mobility for a Warrior considering it costs no tokens. While the armor on those boots are impressive, you're giving up mobility that you'd normally get on that slot. I don't think the Rod is worth the cost. A Booming Ring would be better IMO for a tokenless slot.
I agree on all points. I got one of these, and when another showed up in the club membership window I almost cried. If you ever start playing a lot of firestorms on your mages, or just want to duke it out easily with imps in any of the portal missions, the boots can behave like a poor-man's Resistant hide. Automatically negating 2 damage with no chance of failure can practically mean invincibility on some maps.
Anyone have opinions on Crespin's Shroud and Ring Of Hot Spikes ? I have yet to try out cause fumble, so I don't really know how useful it is, but the second seems like a pretty solid no token item. I have a Stookster's Amulet too, but I'm not sure I want to go firestorm, and I only have 500 gold.
