Yes, if your other characters have melee attacks to buff. If they're warriors, basically (or vamps). Mass Frenzy is what makes 1 Priest + 2 Warriors so strong and popular and with the Skull you get many Mass Frenzies. I recommend getting two or even three Skulls if you get the chance.
If you're running 2 warriors and 1 priest? It's almost irreplacable. Honest. Lets you have that constant +2 damage on any attack, triggers Altruism, works anywhere, etc.
Yeah, get St. Olf's Fiery Pike. Phantom Pain is not a must, but only item with Illusory Barrier, so helps you wizard to stay more offensively-oriented with staves like you said. Phantom Pain really helps in some 1HP quests too, if you're into those. I think three The Strongarms is enough, so it's a coin flip between Bern's Untouchable Mail & Bloome's Barging Boots. Both need to be built around, so pick the one you like the most. It's not wrong the save the gold, especially if you're running low. The Lunginator: I'm not a fan of it. I get my bashes from Eixocl's Hammer or Riptide, if you want some Unnerving Strikes too. Some like it very much (Why The Lunginator is one of the best weapons in the game), so decide for yourself. Bleneth's Frenzy Charm: All Bleneth items are really nice. This is not as strong as Skull or Medallion/Tome, but on the plus side it's very easy to slot both in MP and SP because it's tokenless. Azan's Icy Bulwark: I wouldn't get this or any other legendary shield. Captain Cedric's Helm already have 1: Quite nice, but mostly can be replaced with cheaper Crusty Helm in MP. The Perforator nice for SP: I've looted 4 and have never used them in SP or MP. The Strongarm deals more damage to many armored monsters and is tokenless. Sometimes I run Troll's Ire, but mostly I just stack enough damage over the armor. If you really struggle against armor, bring a wizard. One more time... IT IS! I haven't played with Laser Whip, but what I've read, many think that it's a bit overvalued. @Souleye has upgraded Lunginators to Zoltan and you can check his deck here: http://forums.cardhunter.com/thread...t-weapons-in-the-game.7019/page-7#post-102417 Nunchaku might be a fun upgrade for vampires, but I haven't tried it.
Any item that limits your characters possible draws to a few repetitive but wanted options is considered worth its admission. I personally find reducing one third of your party to a mass frenzy dispenser is a hefty pricetag in itself.
I just bought Bleneth's Skull and Throon's Quick Laser Shield (only way to get laser cards without spending a major token!). Nothing else tempting this week, which is good since I just spent half my bank account. These are the best Laser Whip items. However, whips are really hard to use (the Lunging Bashes help with that) so you don't see many people using them.
I say get both, but then I'm one of those rare laser whip players. Darkforce Nunchakus got me into the 1600s so I don't think it's as bad as people says.
I shelled out full price for both of them. I've been running three warriors recently, so I haven't really had a chance to check out the Darkforce, but I love Zoltan's. I've got it paired up with The Lunginator and it has served me very well.
Thing that I missed is -> I've already got 2 Nunchaku (from those savet chest pulls when EttCS came out) .. not sure if 3rd is needed .. :/ I did bought that Zoltan's .. (thanks guys)
Thanks for the replies, yet another skull in my inventory (a lot of usage for severed heads in Cardhuntria). I tought Bleneth's Frenzy Medallion and Bleneth's Frenzy Tome were better choices, but now I can see how in many instances you just want to draw that Mass Frenzy.
Don't I wish, I could finally get a Skull of Savage Iljin! (And maybe a Snobbit Pipe while I was there, ya know man?)
Just another week of the Duplicates... I've got third Advanced Crushing and second Illusion, but I'm not going to buy them. What do you think about the 3rd Crazy Sal's Halberd, guys? I guess it could be a very special build, and oh I like the special builds very much!
My first Blue Destruction and Illusion! Considering whether or not to spend more on a second Bleneth's Frenzy Medallion (Already have a Bleneth's Savage Tome and St. Olf's Fiery Pike) and a first Quick Jon's Axe.
Bleneth's Skull Forrtescue's Feathered Cap Golden Wings - This is an item?!?!? Painful Flashstaff St. Xanu's Geneshaper Gear How many of each item does a player need?
Bleneth: can't imagine needing more than 2. Even 1 seems enough if you got other Bleneth items Forrtescue: supposed to be the best sprint team item, so 2 or 3 depending on whether or not you want a support priest. Wings: good for Wicked Waterways. not so much for normal ranked. You don't need it per se, but having 1 or 2 for WW can't hurt Flashstaff: I have 2, but I usually only use 1 when I play campaign and never in ranked. I still recommend picking up 2 at most, as Searing Pain is just one major token away. St. Xanu: I've tried Adaptable and I don't like it. I recommend none unless you got the gold to waste.
I'd get both staves (lucky for getting a blue destruction haha) and pass on the medallion. Skull is much better, and mass frenzy is not as good as people make it out to be...
The best Sprint, Team! item is Bloody Command. The Fortesque Cap is just awful, since the rest two cards are bad. Overall, I don't like helmets with Sprint, Team! since the support chars should move the warriors, not vice versa. Skip it. Could you explain why don't you like Adaptable? I see all three good cards (or at least decent), plus the priest needs the Adaptable more than the wizard (unless he's totally long-ranged like Cursed Radcannon maniac) and can spare a yellow token much more easily than a warrior. I can see at least one good use for it right now: to save you from your own Volcanoes. Buy it, it's the only divine armor with Adaptable.
