Yeah if I had the option I would run Drewg's, right now I think Portia's is a big step up from Vigun's Blessed Blade. Thanks for the input!
Chalchu's Hammer is quite nice, I use it occasionally in SP, but in MP I haven't found use for it. Those Sapping Spears are weak and usually I have enough tokens to skip single minor token weapons. Like @Merdis said, Telekinesis is especially great in current MP rotation. It's also better than Ring Of Appropriation in the current Wicked Waterways league. Usually the ring more versatile. Staff of Chask is good staff for anti-warrior wizards and quite cheap too, being only epic. All three are good picks, but I would get the Jedi hand first. If you have immediate use for those other two and/or excessive gold reserves, consider buying the hammer or the staff.
I don't see any legendaries in your list worth your money. When it comes to single token weapons, Maquah is probably the best one.
I have not posted in this thread for a while because either there is an item that I would purchase as soon as I see it or there is nothing good in there at all but I got some decent items this week so please give me your advice on what I should spend my gold on Bloodshield Of Xoc - this is an interesting shield and only for a minor token (I mostly just put it here because I dont have any copies of it) Blue Destruction - how many of these would a player really need? Hand Of Wicna - an ok item but only for a minor token (I have 0 of these) Perilous Agility - not bad considering its for a no token cost and i use a lot of elves in my decks
"shield" spelling fixed. Perilous Agility - seems bad. There are so many amazing unique cards on elf skills, why settle for more moves which elves don't need as much as other races? Stick with something that has Elven Maneuvers, Elven Trickery, or Elvish Insight (although this is not tokenless). Hand Of Wicna - Flash Flood is nice. May be worth experimenting with. I am not convinced this is better than some of the epic alternatives though such as The Soulstone/Bimson's Water Stone/Tauri's Watery Maze Blue Destruction - I am happy with two. However, I can see certain parties wanting more. Bloodshield Of Xoc - There is something to be said about blocks that always succeed. Spending an extra token on shields is pretty uncommon though with so many great tokenless altenatives available.
@BlackVoidDeath: Bloodshield Of Xoc - is certainly interesting and might be useful in wizard-heavy meta if you can't spare major token. There are other legendary alternatives: Ichabod's Buckler, Kelvim's Buckler & Wellington's Shield. Blue Destruction - I would like to have two (or even one), but I think I'd buy up to four of those. Hand Of Wicna - I don't think Path of Knives is an upgrade from Acid Blast, so I wouldn't get it. Perilous Agility - I wouldn't use it in MP, maybe it has some use in 1HP quests? Trait cycling might still be better.
Just my opinion ^^ Blue Destruction - I would want to have 2 ( have 1 so far ), much more won't really be used much. Hand Of Wicna - Don't think Path of Knives is worth 2500. Perilous Agility - I only see it being good for stab elves, but would rather have Cautious Mobility. Bloodshield Of Xoc - Looks cool, though i don't see it making a big difference.
I finally got something to buy. I'll be picking Brin's Storm Locket up, although I'd prefer Glob Of Flame (Azgul's Orb) or Short Perpelxing Ray (Chartwell's Ring) over that Counterspell. Any opinion on the following: Painful Flashstaff - has this any use in MP and/or is it better than Staff Of Pain, when I want to upgrade Misanthrope in some SP modules? I guess it isn't 5x better, so I think I pass. Ring Of Majestic Healing - Again, I have Hrillia's Healing Ring already and I don't think this is that much of an upgrade. Wym's Fiery Bangle - Very powerful, but I rather use my arcane item tokens (1x + 1 - 2 x) for Miligar's Dragon Tongue and Rantic's Orb Of Inner Fire / Smoag's Bucket Of Pitch, which I already have or am I doing the Instant Burn wizard build wrong? Maybe if I'd use / have two burst staves, this would be a better fit? Xander's Mail - Also quite powerful, but I prefer Perilous Ringmail. Maybe some warriors with Raging Strike or 1/1/1 parties with Savage Curse and/or Leadership would prefer Xander's, but I like to live fast and die young.
I think I've seen Painful Flashstaff being used sometime in the current meta. Obliterating Spark + a couple Punishing Bolts for two minor tokens is a good compromise, the value of Flash of Agony really depends on the specific map and your ability to conquer good positioning. I wouldn't consider it a must buy, for good alternatives are available, though the Painful Flashstaff is great option when it comes to how much bang you get for its tokens cost. That being said, I would only purchase it if I had a very specific build in mind for it, and only if I had a lot of gold in the bank. Xander's Mail is a great item. It has its downsides, true, and it might not always be the best option depending on the ma pool and meta, but I'd really advice you get it. You don't know when you will need it, and it might be a long while before you see it in shops again. Perilous Ringmail surely is a great alternative but, all the same, I'd rather have as many great options available to me, just in case (I have 2x Xander's Mail and would instantly buy a third). The rest of the items aren't worth picking imho. This week I did finally buy Robes Of White Willa. I don't currently have a plan to put it to use, but I've been looking forward to grabbing it for a real long time.
It can be a fun weapon to mess around with but is probably not found in many serious builds. Its a far inferior Lunginator in my opinion. I tried to make a build modeled by @Bandreus found here, replacing the Lungi's with Bashers and a Eixocl's Hammer. The result lacked damage and it took very fancy positioning to keep from only being able to hit your opponent once. Could be a nice weapon if you have a bash warrior in mind though.
IMHO it's not worth the 2x major tokens. If I want a Bash weapon with damage, I'd settle for Heavyweight Mace. If I want a Bash weapon with tech instead, I'd settle for Eixocl's Hammer.
This week's offerings from Randal's Sandals: Boots Of Etzicatl Garalem's Boots Nasrum's Moccasins Twipp's Energy Boots I think I'll save my cash for the expansion.
To me, Tenderizer looks too similar to White Katana and therefore doesn't justify the 2k extra prize. (I'd keep it, if I'd find it for free)
