I recently received an item in the 'Club Reward' space in a treasure chest and I assumed that if I signed up for the Club, I would get access to it. I signed up by getting the 'Basic Edition' but it didn't seem to enable my Hunter Club registration. Is there a way to access the current club treasure (I'm still on the loot screen), or will it only be active on the next treasure.
That's a good point, it should get you in the club instantly - as that's how it works if you join the club from the club page with existing pizza. Has your payment for the BE gone through? Try logging out from the loot screen and back in and see if that works - it should be safe - unless you already looted the chest?
I have double-checked Paypal and it seems to have gone through properly. I have not taken anything from the chest yet, though I am quite worried that if I closed the browser and logged back in, I would lose the contents. Can it be confirmed that closing the browser will not reset the chest?
At worst, you'll get everything in the chest and not the club item. If the chest is opened and you don't get back to the loot screen on reload, it'll just drop everything into your inventory - if you're unsure about this I suggest you take a screenshot, but there is no need to worry. If the club kicks in during reload, you could get lucky with the club item.
Earlier on I paid for a month of club membership while in the same situation you are now. The PayPal process overwrote the game in the tab, and when I reloaded the game I was back on the world map. However, clicking on the quest I was previously on took me straight to the loot screen and I was able to claim the club loot. So it worked for me, but I feel a bit hesitant to guarantee it will work for you. It's worth a try, though - going off your forum title, which is the same as mine, you're a newer player so the item probably isn't that great anyway. You'll get better stuff soon enough even if this doesn't work out.
Ok, I can confirm that reloading the game in another browser (at home now) opens the looting screen with the same items. However, after buying the 'Basic Edition', I still do not have the Pizza or Club Membership and I have confirmed that the payment was completed in Paypal (via credit card). I'll give it the night and see if it just takes some time for the purchase to complete. PS: The bonus item is clearly the BEST item in the game and I can't take the chance that I would miss it.
Hehe, I know that feeling. I'm the sort of person who hordes items in RPGs and ends up never using them. I always ended Final Fantasy games with every Elixir, Mega Elixir and Mega Phoenix Down (or whatever they're called) in the game. "No, it's not desperate enough a situation to use them just yet!" I'm almost always one small knife away from being encumbered in games like The Elder Scrolls and Fallout.
