Question about game structure

    I have high expectations considering the pedigree of the development team. Ultima, System Shock, Thief, and Bioshock pretty much define story and immersion in video games. I understand that this is a different project for them and all that has really been discussed is the battle system. I just hope that as more info comes out the story/non combat interactivity will be deeper.

    By a funny coincidence, we had a design meeting the day before yesterday where we were specifically talking about our story telling tools. I have to admit, that part of the game is less advanced than the core battle system, which is the heart of the game, but it is on our radar to do more with. That said, this is a more combat focussed game. We'll try to tell our story using all our tools - the maps, the module covers, the narrative text, the characters and, hopefully, some other elements we haven't talked about yet.
