Priests role is to support other characters, wizards are ranged damage dealers and crazy-stuff-doers and warriors smash and stab things up close. So yes, if you want dispels, put them on your priest/priests
Wizards have so many attacks that attach to the target after use, that plain dispel for a wizard would make me sad! Remember the law of three (attachments), and make good use of it.
yeah i would also feel awful if they make plain dispel. It could ruin whole buffing thing. And the rule of three is an interesting concept i think it make buffing even stronger as you debuff negative effects with your positive buffs or vice versa. So please no dispel for wizards!
Wizards have counterspells, they counter magic used against you, and if you use them vs spellcasters they discard 2 magic cards. They also have a wide variety of forced discard cards. Only clerics have Purge and cards like that.
