The snipers have finally taken their positions atop the wall, and shot every last one of the zombies down.
You send out a group of scavengers to seek out any valuable items among the corpses of the undead.

Story
You wake up, and remember the last night's party. Yeah that was fun, your chef Ramses even perepared a giant cake, it was delicious.
With your eyes still closed you realise that you hear cheering and bloodthirsty cries around you, what Bloodthirsty cries?
Then you suddenly come to a realisation, you are not in bed at all.
You open your eyes and see that you are in a battle arena and a crowd of commonfolk is watching you from the stands, and then you see three giant golems enter the arena and remember the part of the party when a bunch of mercenaries barged in and started killing the guests. One hit you over the head and you dont remember anything after that.
"Stand up and fight you rich coward!" they shout.

Epilogue
Someone jumped out of the crowd of spectators and stealthily killed all three of the golems. Luckily the golems have a very low intelligence so when he kept telling them that he was there about the job as an executioner they believed him!
Ha, I cant wait to get back to my rich life of food and wine.

Edit: Changed the centre "pillar" to not have a black outline (this looks worse imo but its the best doodad other than what I used before).

Part 1 - 'Uplink'

Pre-Battle Text:
Three years is a long time, yet she remembers as if it all happened yesterday. The raid on Darius' cyber sanctum. It started well, but ultimately the AI was just too powerful for them. She managed to escape the realm of virtual reality, but her adventuring partners did not. She hasn't seen them since.
Well, that's going to change today. She's finally built the terminal from scavenged parts, and is ready for a second attempt at destroying the rogue computer, hoping to rescue her friends in the process.
It's uplink time.

Post-Battle Text:
The brutes are dead. They dissolve into streams of code and merge into the walls of the castle. She grips her weapons tighter before continuing, determination filling her heart and banishing her fear.

Part 2 - 'Rescue'

Pre-Battle Text:
She enters a new chamber. A single prison cell squats in the centre of the room, streams of code forming prison bars. Through them, she sees a figure. It sits up and turns to face her with a look of astonishment - it's her friend, Case!
"Marie-France! Don't come any closer! It's a trap!", Case shouts. But it's too late. She's already running towards him. But her excitement and joy soon makes way for dread as waves of gunners spawn at the other end of the room.

Post-Battle Text:
Victorious, Marie-France frees Case from his cell. But there's no time for talk - the alarm has been raised, and the duo must continue onward to Darius' inner sanctum.

Part 3 - 'Finale'

Pre-Battle Text
Darius' core is nearby - just one more room remains. As the duo enters, Marie-France spots a blue figure at the other end of the chamber, standing next to two more cyber minions. Could it be...?
"Molly!", Marie-France shouts in delight. But as Molly turns towards them, she senses something wrong about her. She seems... emotionless.
"Intruders detected.", Molly intones in a flat, mechanical voice. "Prepare to die."
The team have no choice but to fight their friend...

Post-Battle Text
The shell which was once Molly disintegrates into code. What had happened to her? Darius must be behind it. With rage in their hearts, Case and Marie-France charge into Darius' core processor room. The AI, represented as a red wireframe figure, floats in the middle of the chamber.
"I must congratulate you. You've progressed so far since your last visit. But there's one thing you've forgotten." With a cruel smile, Darius snaps his fingers and lines of code stream towards the pair.
"You're not the only one to have progressed. Technology is improving constantly, and three years is a long time."
The lines of code latch themselves around Marie-France's head. Before she can react, her consciousness is drained away into cyberspace, leaving nothing but code, doomed to serve Darius for eternity.

Title: Shotgun Wedding

Pre-battle flavour text:
Years of aspirations of uniting the Goblin tribes have finally paid off now that you have managed to arrange a wedding between Guztuk of the Forest Goblins and Meatfist of the Bloodspear Clan. You've spent more gold than you care for to become a legally recognized marriage officiant and were even able to pester Lord Stafford into letting you use one of his churches to seal the deal. You even hired a band specializing in weddings to provide ambiance!

Alas, just as the vows are being confirmed you hear one of the Grunts yell something about being devoured alive by a Grub. You consider mourning his loss but then realize you don't technically need any witnesses to the wedding under Cardhuntrian law and shrug. You were expecting Humans to barge in shouting about how the consolidation of the Goblin tribes was unacceptable but must admit you didn't expect them to hire a Mutant Mercenary along with his pet Bulging Egg and some scouts. The scouts seem less then eager to be escorting a Mutant given their habit of emitting Radioactive Pulses. You order the Grunts to take care of the Mutant and his Bulging Egg, urge the Goblin couple to be cautious and insist the band keeps playing.

Post-battle flavour text:
Who needs cunning when you have a Giant Gutter and two Meaty Goblin Fists? The wedding goes off without any further interruptions and the newlyweds partake in some delicious scrambled Bulging Egg with some Mutated Macaroni on the side. You briefly contemplate informing then of the possible health risks and then remember the average Goblin intellect and decide to stay quiet. You royally tip the band for their performance and present the king of the now consolidated Goblin tribe with the marriage gifts you prepared.

Fearsome Foursome Part 1
Cardhuntria used to have a nice fantasy feel to it but now it's being taken over by all this laser crap! Someone has been creating cyborg clones in sick ceremonies. It looks like the sentient weapons are involved somehow in this freak show. They're piping in something to help them pave over Cardhuntria in metal! And they're busy raising an army of artificially intelligent robots. They have what looks like a dwarf wizard with them. Dumkolaz is not flattered by the striking similarity to himself and calls upon Lorzil, Cuceldon, and Anrime to help him murder this crude mockery of himself.

Never has Dumkolaz been more delighted to hear the sound of computers slowly ceasing to work. He thought that might be finished but the Whorl clones seem to be mere pawns in something far more sinister. The Fearsome Foursome follow the maroon piping whilst picking up helpful pieces along the way.

 

Fearsome Foursome Part 2
As the Foursome follow the pipeline they are dismayed to find more monstrous cyborg clones being pumped out over Cardhuntria. What's this! They've even paved over a river and funneled the water into a plumbing system. Cuceldon tells his team to be cautious as they approach this bastion of innovation. He's heard that they're even crafting Artificial Elf Warriors. If that were even possible it would seriously put a pinch on his job prospects with such cheap competition. Destroy the cyborgs and robots!

Well, that took forever! Whoever is creating these things has certainly done their homework as to how Elven warriors fight. Cuceldon is a little jealous of their armor and weaponry but still it was no match for the flesh and blood of the fearsome foursome who enter the bastion to see if they can put an end to this charade.

 

Fearsome Foursome Part 3
The pipes and the pathway lead to an energy source inside the dark building. Anrime jokes that whoever is behind all this life altering assault on Cardhuntria must be a priest. And sure enough, as you light a lamp you can see dimly that the power grid seems almost to be plugged into a person, a being made of pure energy. It is the priest Marie-France! This computer program has formed herself into a crude mockery of Anrime. Anrime vows to power down Marie France. It will take all the fearsome foursome has to shut down this priestly powerhouse.

Slicing the power cables to the light array and hovering over Marie-France dead gray form, the fearsome foursome wonder if Cardhunter will ever again be allowed to live, play, and fight without the complications of Artificial Intelligence. In the meanwhile, they pick up the best gear they can find amidst the metallic rubble.

Note: All these boards can either be played with the foursome or your Level 18 Multiplayer party. Happy Hunting.

 

Siege at the Eastern Gate

Before fight:
A goblin horde approaches, and only a handful of guards, two daring mercenaries and two brave citizens stand to save the city!
After fight:
Though the battle was long and bloody, the humans emerge victorious to a just reward from the city they saved.

I'll add the board file just in case anyone else wants it. It was designed for PvP, but the battles just took too long due to the goblin side having to move so many pieces.

• Player got VP for time (all territory - player victory terrain) and for enemies.
• Number of player's VP can be changed to increase difficulty (now 30 VP).

Batford's Boat Ride

Before text: One of Lord Batford's trading vessels was destroyed just off of the coast. In an attempt to recover his lost coin he has commissioned the undersea reconnaissance cruiser captained by Dogboy. Lothar Lotharson has volunteered to brave the depths if his suit be filled with air from the surface. The team located the sunken ship and began to gather the coin when they were attacked. To their horror they discovered that their previous trading vessel may have been sunk not by a typhoon but by this gang of marine monsters. Will the team have time to recover the treasure or will they all be sunk in a watery grave?

After text: Licking their wounds and mourning their losses, Batford's team return to shore. Was the cost worth the gain? You rifle through the loot to find out.

They asked around until they found a fungus warrior willing to show them the way for a price. But the thieves should have been more discreet. The Troll King had learned about their inquiries and had arranged a surprise.

After text: The thieves found the troll king’s most valuable possession: the family cookbook with the secret recipe for storge soup.

It's time to show everyone that you are proffesionals!

To juggle with boulders, you need to throw up (kill) all three boulders at the same time (round).
The circus has a busy schedule, therefore you have only 5 minutes for this stunt!

What a wonderful stunt! Loud applause filled the hall!
Spectators are thrilled, exactly as your trainers.
Now you all can get the promised reward with banana flavor.
Pudding will not mind, if it gets eaten?

Notes:

• Everyone respawn every round.
• Nobody receives VP.
• Although you can win in five minutes, it makes it much easier to do this in six minutes.

Walkthrough:

Spoiler: Walkthrough

• It is obvious: use "Duck" for steal "Flatten". Collect all three.
• Two "Duck" cards is better than one.
• Discard "Acrobatic Flip". It prevents stealing.
• Monkeys can hide in the towers at the corners.
• Puddings don't need armor, if you can save one.
• "Dissolve Armor" is the best card for puddings.
• In good time reveal boulders armor with "Acorn Sling" to help Puddings.
• Keep puddings at an average distance of the boulders. Let boulders attack monkeys.
• You can't win without "Energize", because two Puddings must remove three armor cards in the last round.
• "Fumble" can discard "Energize". Don't let it be the last card.
• Don't forget about "Raise the Alarm" and "Team Shift".
• Use "Shrug it Off" at the end of the round to make the first turn in the next.

Before text: For months you’ve been having strange nightmares about black and white tiles and cryptic rules. Two weeks ago you began waking up outside, wandering far from your home. Tonight you wake up in a dungeon next to an acid fiend and a living statue. Your body moves on its own. You go stand on a tile on the floor. You realize the statue is controlling you. The fiend goes to stand on another tile. Judging by the look of hatred on his face he too is controlled.



After text: As the battle ends you regain a little control of your body. The acid fiend must be experiencing the same and he immediately shoots a spray of acid at the statue. This breaks the statue's control over you completely. The statue shoots a beam at the fiend. As the two creatures fight, you teleport out of the dungeon and begin running towards home.

“That’s unfortunate. But I have a solution. A wizard will cast a spell that will transport me and my assistant into your dream. This will be very dangerous for us, but we need to see what is troubling you.”

“In your dream you were attacked by cakes, puddings and death.” says Mr. Jingles. “The meaning is obvious: You have an unhealthy diet and you are worried this might kill you.”

You managed to escape, but some of your colleagues were not as lucky. You hastily grab some supplies before heading to the escape pod.

Following the defeat of one of your body doubles to an insane group of adventurers ranting about some 'Compass of Xorr', Lord Stafford has decided to lay low and retreat to one of his mansions in Far Cardhuntria. There you tend to your lovely bonsai trees, meditate in the zen gardens and enjoy the culinary peculiarities the region's chefs have to offer.

Alas, it seems someone is knocking on the door and wishes to disturb your peace. It turns out to be a flock of 16 Death Elementals. This is the third time this month! You shortly consider why you keep getting visited by these jubilant reapers, they seem to have trouble taking no for an answer.

You call for your aforementioned chefs to properly garnish the Death Elementals and tell the rude interlopers "Not today."

Post-battle flavour text:

Though one would not expect it, Death Elemental is a surprisingly tasty dish when properly garnished. You partake in some delicious buttered, frosted and salted Death Elemental while ordering the Servants to fetch the spoils they have dropped to add to your vast collection.

Despite his name, keeping the staff motivated has always been a challenge for Lord Stafford.

Just last day you have been alerted that one of your lesser Servants, Dog Boy, has been playing the latest hit game Cyber Hunter during work hours. This is obviously unacceptable, Dog Boy must be made an example of, the staff must realize that this type of conduct will not be tolerated. His hopes and dreams must be crushed before you.

Under your online moniker of xXx-L0RDSTAFF0RD-xXx you have found Dog Boy's Cyber Hunter account. You realize that under the name of D4WG B0Y he has been using using two Brutes and a Boss. You scoff at this absurd party set-up, as everyone knows Brutes are by far the weakest class in the game.

You also realize that somehow he's still made it to the upper levels of the Elo ladder. This frustrates you to no end, such high rankings should be only for the monetary privileged such as yourself! You purchase as many Byte Coins as you can using your vast wealth and buy your way into all of the game's premium content and quickly rise on the Elo ladder. Now your chance has come to show Dog Boy his place!

Following Dog Boy's defeat you keep matching yourself up with the truant servant, lowering his Elo below that of even the worst AI opponent. It does not take long before Dog Boy comes to your office, where you present him with a Guillotine and a Boulder. "Your choice, Dog Boy." You have always considered yourself so merciful in giving the staff a choice.

Life is good in Nightmarish Cavern Node 9. Sure, it may be a little bit chaotic, dealing with random assailants, coworkers and a random superior barking orders from the Throne Room, but at least you have it better than those poor guys over at Node 1. Alas, it seems another mob of 'heroes' has made it through, though they have come in greater strength and numbers than usual.

You're delighted to see you've been paired up with your favourite coworkers for the task, some Monkeys, Wyverns, Slimes and Trees. (The Caverns of Chaos prides itself on being an equal-opportunity employer.) Together you are known as the Champions of Chaos; nobody has ever managed to get through to the Throne Room under your watch, and you intend to keep it that way!

Post-battle flavour text:

You delight in the furious curses of your opponents as they are ejected out of the Caverns. You overhear that one of them will complain to the Cavern's management over 'unfairness' but giggle at the thought there could be anything as orderly as a manager to all this chaos. Your superior rewards you with a chest for your efforts. The loot is random, of course. Everything here is.
