So my connection is horrible. I know that. I'm on dial-up, it took me two hours to download the new version when it updated and it takes me a long time just to play. That said, I can play a little and despite my situation I've still been logging in every day to do Cardstock 2.

I really wanted to play Mauve Manticore, and I did, and I loved the first two scenarios. I am no longer bitter about missing out on the contest - there's no chance that I would have won. The trouble is that the third scenario seems to be literally impossible for me to complete. I'm not even sure how it's supposed to work: is it a test of how fast you can click your way around the little maze? I don't know. I'm sure there's something clever there, but there's no way that I'm going to see it under my present circumstances.

So that's a long-winded way of saying that if you're going to put a time limit on something, then I'd appreciate it if you'd stick to the Card Hunter measurement of time: turns. I don't know how Mauve Manticore #3 works, so I don't know if it's possible to change it in this way, but it's something to keep in mind for the future.

I put a time limit on it to add a little bit of excitement, since you aren't actually getting attacked by anything. The version in the game probably won't be changed now that it's live, but you can get the original contest entry here. Download the .scn file to your computer, Load... it in Create Custom Game (in MP), delete the "3" from the Time field, Save As... so you don't have to change it each time, then click Create Game.

It would be nice if they would implement turn restriction as a timer. It encourage more strategic thinking than just increase animation speed and spam click. Then Kalin's map can simply be updated :)
