UURR(R) at Black Plume Mountain. Killed dragon on the first attempt, only one replay of scenario 2 due to my own stupidity No equipment change of course - I'm too lazy

I'm about to buy my first revive on the dragon. I got through the first two maps (and all of Elder Mind since I hadn't done that one yet either) using all dwarf FS/FS/Nimbus. But FS is useless against the dragon, and since I already have all four of my Punishing Bolts equipped, I'm going to try some spark staves and move my armor destruction to my arcane items.

 

Armor destruction is good, also runestone / Path of Knives. (They dragon usually won't land on lava, so you can create a buffer to keep it out of melee range or WoW it away when it does.)

This time I used Squidy's 1HP quest team = 3 human wizards. One was at level 20, the other two at level 18. Doing this raised them to level 19 which will make this easier next time, one more minor token to use for more Wall of Stone items. I Firestormed the first two battles, they are pretty trivial that way.

The dragon fight is a lot faster than in the 1HP quest as you can afford to hit it with range 8 spells going both ways as a reflecting block doesn't kill you with one hit. It was very very nice to be in complete control of the fight and the dragon at all times after yesterday's frustration.

Now the adventure took 11 minutes. Practice makes better.
