In the http://forums.cardhunter.com/threads/wishing-well-new-shop.7755/ thread several possibilities were discussed how to improve the appearance of some legendary items. The suggestions I made there would improve the MP playing even more, which I dont like. So I thought over it again and here is a different idea. If you get the loot fairy 14 times or 14 times in a row a special module, the Loot Fairy Heaven is playable once. If you beat that level, which ofc is hard one, you can choose one legendary item. You could also make it 21 days or at least 21 days in a month or something like that. I hope this idea is on theme with the game so far. It will not spam too many legendaries. If I for example would want to build a vp build, I would have to do this thing for about 6 times, since I need two VPs, two Strongarms and two Skulls. So I would have to wait for three month, if no holiday or forgetfullness will come in between. If you make it 21 found loot fairies in the month this would take half a year, which is pretty much the same with the current system, where you have a chance of 90% to get this specific items in half a year. (If you play the leagues every day with 6 wins within the 16 hours and look into the shops every day.) Another possibility would be a nudie run and if you finally beat the basic campaign you will get a legendary of choice. More than this I only like the idea of hunting cards. So you can dissamble an item by choosing just one card from it. If you have enough cards to assamble a new item you have to pay the shops cost of this item and all cards needed to assemble it. There was a thread for something like this was suggested. Allthought this may be too easy, since there are for example three rare items with Nimble Strike on it. But I like the fact, that this solves also the issue with all the useless items you already have a playset of.
I like the idea of a special module being accessible through meeting some special conditions. That'd further reward people who play CH on a daily basis, which is good. A similar idea revolved around chasing the Hidden Bandit. What I do not agree with, is the idea that one might pick a specific legendary of their choice. I don't want to post a WoT right now, but can explain why I think that'd be really bad, if needed. In short: it would remove from the game game experience as a whole, both in the way of long-term incentives and by poisoning the MP ecosystem with a too-many-good-items-too-quickly syndrome. I'd suggest something along these lines instead: If you get the loot fairy every day for 7 days straight, a special module gets unlocked. The module stays open for 24 hours (or until adventure reset), and it gets removed from the map immediately if you lose any of its battles (i.e. you're only given one shot). If you can beat the special module, you get an improved chest (minimum 2x Uncommons + 2x Rares + 2x Epics or better). That'd offer even more bonus rare-loot to dedicated players, promoting regular play. Also, since the reward-cycle is 7 days only, a larger number of players would be able to regularly benefit from the bonus and the system would be much fairer (realistically speaking, only the most hardcore players would be going to get the fairy for 14/21 days straight. Actually, having to hunt the fairy for 7 days straight would still keep a lot of people away from ever getting to see the special module. People have real lives too!).
So we have do the fairy 7 days straight then win a difficult module without retries/restarts and we just get 2 epics and 2 rares(you get at least 2 epics and 2 rares from 1st place in league) for the difficulty in it it really doesn't give very impressive loot, sure it might be fun but for looting purposes it has a minor impact.
This will not really increase your chance in getting specific legendaries. But I think it is a fine idea anyway.
I never said it should be nigh-impossible. Just, it shouldn't be trivially easy. Keep in mind, any given module might take you off guard the firt time you play it. But the second time? The third time? I bet any moderately experienced CH player very rarely loses a single battle, save for the very challenging ones (but, again, I'm not suggesting the special module should feature a Troll Tyrant level of difficulty). If still the idea of potentially losing and missing out on the loot, the only-one-chance restriction can be lifted. That's the whole point really. I think you being able to pick what reward you're getting would be extremely bad for the game, in the long run.
