Let's play Perfect Storm = casual MP with max WW/WWE!

How about playing only terrain affecting cards (Wall of fire/stone/illusion, acid...etc) and WW/WWE? Meaning no direct attack at all!
And no Resistant hide. No fun when you are immune to fire...

 

Try it out and see how it feels, it sounds like a plausible variant! It seems to be very dependent on luck with the last whirlwind of a round. While of course pretty silly and with plenty of luck-dependence, Perfect Storm allows also for some more normal tactical play with the staves and other items. What you're suggesting sounds quite limited in that regard and probably leads to very very long matches. It might still be amusing, though, hard to tell on paper alone.

What you need is an exciting name for your variant to really make it fly! It's now competing with Perfect Storm and Tempest, after all .
