So.... about the first league, Artifact Anarchy. Disorganized musing below: I was disappointed by the tremendous variance in each deck, leading to matches determined primarily by what you top-deck at the crucial moment. There was one match where the staff (ostensibly wizard-like), drew nothing except melee attacks. Another where the Axe drew no step attacks, and got stuck on the wrong side of the map from everyone else. And another where I drew Impetuous Slash off a parry, which then replaced itself with Massive Chop, for a total of 35 damage. The map is weird too... had a standoff with both players on their own side occupying both victory squares. I had the staff, so I could deal damage more quickly across the gap than he could. -------------------------- Conclusions: - don't advance until you have sufficient move in hand - capture VP as often as possible to force your opponent into poor positions
