Ah, you want a motivation, not just repetition?

Well, it's because you can't use more than 12 of an arcane item, so have more than 12 of any item would be useless. Ofcourse, one could also have auto-sell for when you have more than 9 of a weapon, 6 of a divine weapon, 3 of a shield, boot or armor, etc. Depends how lazy implementation we're talking.

But there you have it. Grinders are too busy grinding, don't wanna be sorting stuff and selling, takes time away from grinding!
