Man, there go's at least a week of my life. Loved this game, should go back and try to get the crystal ship. I have to wonder how it would play on a touch screen... The gameplay could be rather hectic, and I recall needing both hands to manage certain situations.
If anyone is interested in FTL mods, I highly recommend the Infinite Space mod. It basically removes the fleet and final boss, so you can infinitely travel from sector to sector making an increasingly badass ship. It also adds a bunch of things to keep the infinite travel interesting, like additional events, special rare weapons, and end of sector minibosses. I've gotten at least as much playtime out of it as the vanilla game, if not more. Check it out! http://www.ftlgame.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=12&t=3542
Thanks for the tip. I'll have to try that. FTL is a pretty awesome game. It's a perfect example of how gameplay is more important than graphics. I really like these retro style games that we have been seeing lately (FTL, Hotline Miami, etc.).

As long as I can pause, I don't see any issues handling any kind of situation. Heck, I already pause before every shot on PC anyway. As long as the pause function is responsive and instant on iPad it will be fine.
