Number of matches won then the goal difference isn't it? Doesn't seem different from the league system to me.

The first tiebreaker is always the result of match between the teams.

Another random idea. What about making three kinds of league?

    Bronze League:
    Fee: Free to enter
Prizes: Brown Chests, gold and a silver ticket for the first

    Silver League:
Fee: High amount of gold or low amount of pizza or a silver ticket
Prizes: Magnificient Chests, gold and a golden ticket for the first

    Gold League
Fee: Pizza or a golden ticket
Prizes: Epic Chests, Pizza Slices and Figure for the first

Major issue I see with this would be to have a good schedule having all those. I have some leads but won't bother thinking more atm in case the idea is bad :p

My idea is like this: Same league, same schedule, same players, different reward and price structure. Pricing structure could follows:
    • Free entry. Rewards wooden chest(s) and up to a large amount of gold (at 1st place, slightly more than enough gold to enter the next tier)
    • Gold entry. Rewards wooden/golden chests(s) and up to a small amount of pizza (at 1st place, barely enough to enter the next tier). No longer reward gold.
    • Pizza entry. Rewards as it is now.
The idea is to allow all people, free or paid, competitive or causal to join the same league.
    • Only 1 entry per league, obviously.
    • Higher fee => higher stake, higher risk, higher rewards. => Create some sort of gamble decision. This is also where whales gamble with their pizza willy-nilly.
    • People can only be in the same pod as each other only if they paid the same fee to enter the league => This guarantees BM knows how much pay-in and pay-out they are giving. They can still use pod as a way to control their economy. Also, people in the pod feels the same kind of competitive-level towards each other.
    • Each entry fee tier place people at different level of starting ELO: 1000, 1100, 1200 (separate from ranked) => Allows people of the same tier to be more likely to be matched against each other, while still allow player who do well to meet tougher opponents. (Note: Ok this might not be a good idea as an after thought)
    • (If ELO thing is not implemented, people of the same entry fee should still be more likely to be matched against each other)
    • This will ensure a huge population playing league at all times, for practice, for competition etc... Free entry provide cannon fodder (aka free win) for every player. This however, may requires BM to nerf the guaranteed rewards (lowest rewards) at each tier.
    • And finally, I can actually practice these leagues with real people without inviting ppl to casual game or go to test.cardhunter.com
Just throwing ideas out there to see what sticks.

That was one of my leads, keeping the same schedule but people choose the type of league they want before registring. And if after X minutes one can't get a match in his own league, he would get matched with someone of the closest league. And of course pods are filled with people of the same type of league no matter what.

This would make people being able to easily farm pizza for their membership, new maps or else. I am against pizza rewards at this stage.
