Failure to resume single player match, no characters dropped in, fixed after refresh

I was trying to rejoin a single-player match after my network connection dropped. When I rejoined, I could see the characters' hands, but could not see any figures on the board at all, neither monster nor player.
Then I refreshed the page, and it worked afterwards.

The same happened to me two hours ago or so but I didn't think to refresh a second time. I just resigned the match as it was all I could do.
