I moved this over from the PvP map submission thread so that we can poke at all the random stuff you can do with maps, and decide which qualities make for interesting PvP play.

Here's something entirely different, purely to provoke discussion. I have made little attempt to balance it.
    Lava Stream
    - horizontally symmetric playable terrain
    - asymmetric decorative tiling
    - triangular shape
    - difficult to reach VP spot
    - 1 VP spot (but could make entire far shore VPs)

Well since you pulled it from the other thread... I'll repost my response here:

Looks like fun! Where would you put the spawn points? Oh and just FYI, the asymmetry is not purely cosmetic, there are some slight line of sight differences in that LOS can be drawn between playable squares passing between the two single squares of blocked terrain in the southern half of the river, where LOS cannot be drawn the same way for the symmetrical counterpart.

I played a custom PvP scenario months ago by... Lance I think? It also explored the idea of an initial battle arena with an optional difficult run to VP. It was really interesting and fun, so yeah, definitely something I'd like to see more of.
