Do priest feel weak?

The problem though is that low armor doesn't require a turn to play and it triggers on multiple attacks. Sure 2pt heals make a difference, but so could 1 pt heals.

My argument is that I don't really want to play a 2 pt heal. I play it because I don't have any other options. If my priest drew a hand filled with minor heals, I wouldn't consider it a good hand, but if I drew a hand of mass frenzy, that would be fine. Sure I would discard a few, but I'll have frenzy up for quite some time.

Depends on your playstyle then. I'd very much rather a handful of heal 2s than even one mass frenzy. Decent card, not for me.

Heals really are weak in this game. I understand why, in theory -- it's to prevent the game from dragging on -- but by and large, all of the heals that don't do anything else are a complete waste. Misguided Heal is great because it can kill opponents or be used as a heal once you've retreated a bit. Bad Medicine is a great DoT that can also in a pinch buy you one more turn of beatsticking (or be ignored if the target has Resistant Hide) But all of the various ranks of Heal that don't do anything but Heal are basically always not even catching up with one action the opponent takes. They're really only useful if you have some way of preventing the enemy from attacking for a few rounds while you heal up.

My Cleric almost universally ignores heals and concentrates on card advantage (love me some Demonic Feedback and Leadership) and buffing (Mass Frenzy, Unholy Frenzy), along with some pretty decent attacks (Reaching Swing, Able Bash).

For cycling healing I prefer Talented Healer over Altruism. Sure, it only works with healing, but it works 100% of the time versus 50% for Altruism. I've cycled through four or five heals before hitting a non-heal card before. When it works great, it can instantly turn a game around. When it works okay, it's still card draw.

Agreed. I've been trying to fight against it with different build strategies for Priests...but alas, the current is too strong:

Talented Healer is the absolute best talent for Priests by a large margin, I've had games locked DOWN with enough laval and encumber to freeze this whole world 3 times over, and then a Talented Healer chain begins...

    The tears that I've wept...

I think Priests need a Trait option that's a little more offensive minded, I think Altruism was on that path (attempting to make the priest who applies card draw and positive effects more viable) but ultimately something that improves the Priest's battle readiness may be more effective for "intuitive offensive builds".

Actually...now that I'm thinking about priests again, I have a new build idea! time to go lose play some games!

Yeah, why isn't there a talent that triggers from Unholy cards and is awesome? Or one that triggers off of adjacent deaths, regardless of team, or some other form of "I'm a follower of the Dark Ones" kind of stuff?

This isn't a trait, but how does this sound?

    Dark Sacrifice
    Magic Unholy (not playable)
If a card you control kills a char, any cards left in that char's hand are moved to your hand.
(Not kept. For minions it only triggers off the last minion of the group.)

if only I could get my hands on Focused Healer I think I could turn my priest into a real killing machine (i.e. with life-leach)
