See? There's no reason to panic when devs make vague comments. You should always wait until they reveal the changes/new content, and then

Richard Garfield played a relatively small role in the shaping of Card Hunter as it now exists. I can't predict what the post-Celestial PvP meta will look like. Lots of existing strategies should be untouched, though.

So sad that people don't seem to notice the incredably hit returntion
rate that Cardhunter seem to get from most of the serious PvP players
it gets. I honestly think it's had a HUGE potential for raking in a huge
amount of cash if they could only get more people included toward it's
PvP to try it, because the retention rate would mean that the game would
grow and grow, perhaps become a phenomenon, and even start raking in
    tons of cash.

I doubt cardhunter ever had a good track record of recruiting people into
PvP. (Perhaps because Jon was more a PvE guy.) But I really wish someone
would check those logs, do a serious analysis, and see what MIGHT happen
if you could start driving a munch of PvP players into the game, and they
stay, and PILE UP VIRALLY because, as I said, I think it has a great retention
rate, but not great advertising (yet.) In fact if you look around long enough,
you'll see some 3rd party reviews about how sophisticated and complex PvP
play is, even though you don't see them much on CH's Wiki, and I've never
spotted them anywhere near the Steam forums.

Btw... I tend to work 2-3 days straight, so that's why I didn't have a
chance to take down those "text walls" sooner. Hope people
like this newer condensed post(s) better. FooBar!

Here you go Bob. Link: Ricard Garfield + Jon. :p

Btw... I took some feedback... people didn't like my
giant text wall, so I hide it where noone will find it!

You put it into the EULA? Genius!

Yea. I've sort of figured he just designed the token system, figured out how it worked with card-commonality,
decided to make it so gear has 3-6 cards each, rather than building with individual cards directly, figured out how Line-of-Sight
worked, MAYBE suggested blocks, and PERHAPS tuned the races and classes a bit, and,
yea... no biggie. Anyone could do it and it wasn't even enough to have a playable game.

It's really all the players that came up with the Alonzo's Arsonal cards that made this
game great. I'm sure Richard had to very little do with it.

P.s. Card-wise, I think Richard's cards in Magic the Gathering are now well below
rounding error, but then again, I'm not really sure with all "we promise to
never reprint it" reprints piling up.

Oh course, you can't give Richard too much credit for mana,
5 colors, attackers, blockers, turn phases, stacker-order resolution
and all the stuff. I mean, everyone knows about that stuff, so
    NOBODY is impressed!

    Um.
    DON'T PANIC!
A rational amount of concern appears to be justified.

How to say this. I'm never going to tell someone to stop giving feedback, and I'm never going to stop reading the feedback, but not every piece of feedback should or will receive a personalized response. I love your passion for this game, folks, and I hope you'll stick around as we continue to improve it. :)

Overreacting isn't a thing in the context of game balancing, but overthinking is. By overthinking, I mean making a bunch of assumptions. You can make a bunch of assumptions and have 90% of them hold water, but even the other 10% can make an entire argument fall apart for a reader like me. See, the new devs haven't even released their very first PvP expansion; I have a hard time considering that not as time too early to make predictions.
Fortunately, a lot of the plan is disclosed, so we can write feedbacks without making a bunch of assumptions. These feedbacks tend to have more relevance, which is part of why we have those sneak peeks at all.

I think he means that as long as too many "you f-got!" kiddies don't show up, he'll keep talking to EVERYONE...
Well, EVERYONE except for ME, when I get into one of my "But I LIKE CARDHUNTER" moods...

Don't let them hear you say that. They might start hating you about 5% as much as the hate my suggestions.

You need 6 for Ranked, and 9 for PvE.
