This' been happening since about Oct 3. On occasion when trying to connect to game.cardhunter.com / live.cardhunter.com, I would be able to process without anomaly until Campaign/Multilayer selection. At which point, - If I choose campaign, I'll be able to enter the map, however attempts to enter any store will be met with Loading Forever ("Initializing deck builder"). - Its slightly different when trying to visit a battle node, where I can choose quest/etc all fine, and then get stuck once I press "Onward!" (with no additional info from console). - On multilayer, I similarly cannot use any functions without staring at the cursed loading dragon; but in addition to that, the chatroom appears to be "empty" as well. Cleared cache, upgraded flash version but the problem persists. The only "solution" I found so far is to try again in 20minutes interval and *sometimes* it works - IF I can see the chatroom properly and/or enter a store properly ONCE, I can play the game for hours without a problem. This has become extremely annoying and I'd like a permanent sol without wasting literally hours refreshing the game hoping it to work. Win7/Opera/Flash11.8 r800. p.s. - this is not a network problem because I can load the game normally on test server even when live server's "loading". p.p.s. - you guys should probably turn that annoying as hell loading dragon into an actual loading bar with additional info on what exactly its "loading". p.p.p.s. - the client still says "1.1.6" despite the announcement area says the game's up to "1.30". Is this somehow related?
They do (but they're a small outfit). Did you check troubleshooting threads for port blocking et c? Tried uninstalling/reinstalling flash completely?
I understand that, but still... Anyway, yes I've searched the forum for various explanations/solutions. Apparently my issue is quite like https://forums.cardhunter.com/threa...attles-loot-earn-exp-yet-no-lag-in-game.3789/ this one, however that's a burst thing* and has been solved. I don't think its a port blocking issue since quite often (~70% of times) I can login and play like normal, and I could connect to test w/o any lag. It's just that if that 30% happens, it'll persist for quite a few refreshes in about 1/3 to 2 hours. Don't really want to uninstall/reinstall the whole Flash, but it would seem that I have little other options here - Thanks for the advice.
Yeah, the lag issue was related to a new build - and solved a few weeks back when they released a new one pretty quickly. IF you're somehow running an oudated client - that is since Sept 19! Seems unlikely - http://forums.cardhunter.com/threads/release-1-16-19-sep-2013.3642/
It's strange that it would stop at that point. It doesn't sound like that would be anything to do with port blocking, since you're able to get as far as you are. If the port were blocked, it would get stuck much earlier. It does sound like the points you're having problems is at times when the server would be sending a larger amount of data to your client - either a list of items in the shop and all the assets that go with them, or the user/active room list in multiplayer. Are there any errors in the browser's console (as opposed to the game) when this happens? That 1.1.6 is the engine API version, and isn't related to the game release version.
