Our society has issues, to say the least. But that isn't a secret.

Have you ever felt impassioned about anything? Anything at all? If so, then you know what that does to people. Its how I feel about censorship.

For the record I was insulted first.
This should be my last post in this thread (just don't call me out or I'll have to come back )... I just wanted to make sure that folks realize that censorship is nothing to sneeze at. It may seem harmless and protective at first but it is merely the tip of a much larger issue. One that encapsulates the whole world. Think about it; perspective is everything to how people interact with one another and their environment. Interactions are the core of modern society. Its a chain reaction.

Anyways... I want to apologize to anyone I may have offended, including but not limited to redcap. I really do want this game to be the very best that it can be without as much baggage as possible... So let's get back to hyping all of the awesome mechanics!!!

Wait, what nipple are we talking about? Is this seriously about nipple 'bumps' showing through the clothing?

If Card hunter wants to cater to this kind of audience as well, a 'parental lock' that modifies some graphics would be feasible.
But to take out stipples?? It gets cold in those dungeons! Common.

And OP in the same breath mentions that it's on a 'frumpy' looking woman? You mean realistically strong and robust looking woman for her class, right?? Because that actually is offensive to me. And please edit it out. With "a smile on your face", as you like to do.

First of all, it took me 3 times of scrolling the page to even NOTICE the nipple bumps, So this tells me that you are ACTIVELY looking at the chest. Secondly i understand this company is very friendly with the community, but as a photographer, how DARE you ask an artist to censor his work on such mundane "details." Even Disney has more scandalous drawings with there women.

So what is the difference between 2 clothing "bumps" and an entire body bursting into a bloody mist with chunks flying all over?


The point is, you contradicted your self, you are making a big deal over nothing. If you honestly are this offended that you made all these large replies to defend your self, you must honestly be a little kid, or sexually repressed.

And lastly, i can not STAND people who come on to forums "Do this or i wont play your game" Like this company truly cares if you play or not, you not playing is not going to bankrupt this company. To be honest if you are this offended by this image, or an image like it, to actually make a post about it, then i do not want you to play a game I am interested in playing.


Grow up, be a man, and realize Disney is more offensive then this is.

 

Honestly Jon, its doubtful at this point. Seems like ya pussed out...I seriously doubt your friends seven year old daughter was even aware that there was a potential issue until and unless someone pointed it out to her.

There is no point to this thread anymore.

Earlier, I tried to encourage people to remain calm. Instead, the thread became an occasion for people to write angry essays versus an imagined opponent: one tiny little person who disagrees with the crowd, merged with one huge straw man.

We understand that the majority of persons on this forum are okay with the art as-is. We've got it. Each subsequent rant is just another person ignoring how the thread was resolved within two posts (via Jon's reply) so that he/she can ramble on, succeeding only in make us look hostile to alternate viewpoints.

I said it before and I'll say it again: you are using words that are more hostile than needed. This SHOULD HAVE BEEN another thread on a normal question about today's fantasy game (or any videogame) art, e.g., "Why do all the female characters in WoW wear a bikini?"

Instead, we have reached the point where someone accuses the thread-starter of bizarre attitudes about sex . . . using sexist language.

I ain't a mod; I can't make you be nice to people; it's up to you and me together to make this forum a positive community.

 

The point is, that not everyone is happy to see the Dev team concerned enough to change artwork because of one person voicing, what is in truth, an extremely MINORITY opinion. Nipple bumps impacting seven year olds...really?
