The fact that it says "to any character" and does not specify whose enemy/ally means yes, it hits friends and foes alike.
For Avenging Angel - "Whenever this character takes damage from an enemy attack, add that much to this card's duration. At the start of the turn, deal damage equal to this card's duration -1 to all adjacent characters, then discard this card. Duration 1 or until triggered" No need for a new mechanic. Think Armor Of Faith - you can create situations that don't rely on the duration running out to remove the card.
Delay Death Magic assist Type holy Range 3 - Duration 1 Attach to target As long as delay death is attached, target's HP can't go lower than 1
Illusion Healing Magic assist /damage Type unholy Range 4 - Duration 3 Heal 7 Attach to target. When the card is removed from target, deal 7 unpreventable damage to it. ^EDITED
I agree with timeracers -- and since no card has multiple damage types (such as both Holy and Unholy), I suggest it just be Unholy. Think Soothing Darkness, an Unholy, assist-only card which heals a bunch but also encumbers.
Only one thing though. The 7 damage is inevitable. You will get it anyway, purging the card or attaching more to kick it out will trigger the damage anyway. Isn't unpreventable a little harsh?
I am concerned about the flavor in regards to the damage type. Because the card's name is illusion healing the healing should be illusory and therefore should completely get removed upon removal of the card. If you want to tweak the power of the card you can increase or decrease the damage and heal values(you could make it heal 10 and deal 10 or some other number as long as both numbers are equal).

Great idea. I would like to see it being without Cantrip though, so trait-playing-order would matter more and the card streanth would be more accurate.
Salty | Black Uncommon | Handicap Trait. When your Block or Armor fails, Square occupied by you becomes Irradiated terrain (Duration 2). Duration 3.
I changed it from Silver Rare to Gold Common. Keep in mind that Whirlwind Enemies can single-handedly (60%?) steal a star as well, by being just a Bronze Common.
Ragequit | Bronze Rare | Boost Trait. When you would lose a card or a card atached to yourself, deal 10 fire damage to the closest character instead. Duration 3.
Firewalker | Bronze Rare | Boost Trait. After every move you make, Square occupied by you becomes Lava Terrain. This card grants Immunity to Fire damage. Duration 2.
Slowing Curse | Paper Rare | Utility | Magic Unholy Range 6 Put 3 Slowed handicaps in target's hand and reduce the duration of all cards attached to target by 1.
