Okay guys, I got a really good one this week. Maybe too good? Here's what is offered: Bloody Stoutness (to me looks like one of the best blue token dwarf ablities) Bleneth's Frenzy Tome (god, the meccah. Think I might wait for the medallion though?) Byzener's Black Spear (vampire gush) Absolems Leather Shoes (Meh) Shield Ripper (Super tempting, but I don't know if I need it. Kind of looks fun though) Ulrin's Scuttle Socks (could be good for wizards. But not the best) Mocks boots (not the best choice available) Darkblood Glaive (not a fan of discarding, but it could be good) Having a hard time deciding on this one
The Black Spear is something you want eventually, the package is flawless for a vamp. Touch of Death could be on more items, it punishes a lot of what is popular in the current meta (card-drawing parry-heavy but low-hp elves).
@almostuseful: The two divine weapons mentioned should be your first picks. If you want to build a burst wizard supporter, get the Darkblood Glaive first, if the way of the vampire is closer to your heart, get the Bynzer's Black Spear. After those two, Bleneth's Frenzy Tome is worth considering if you're swimming in gold. I wouldn't bother with the rest.
what do you guys use to farm for gold? I also use Draining Dagger on my Vampire, because I prefer invigorating touch
Yeah, Firestorm and on later levels Volcano are generally the top choices. Take a look of [Farming] Pre-EttSC -guide.
Trying to decide if I need a second Bleneth's Skull. A second Blue Destruction is a pretty clear purchase. Legendaries I don't yet have are Bleneth's Frenzy Charm (if I need tokenless Mass Frenzy, I am running Shuddering Relic), Elemer's Diadem (eh) and St. Qaith's Armor (ehh)
I bought mine 2nd Bleneth Skull few months ago and I didn't regret it .. there are some priest builds with Mass Frenzy on items only. I would go for it.
I'd buy both, especially if that would leave your gold reserves to ~3k or more for possible "critical" purchases in the following days.
All three are well worth purchasing. Don't underestimate the Charm, which is pretty useful on a buffs-focused priest. Unholy Frenzy might seem sub-par when compared to the Mass Version, but keep in mind the two stack. This also helps alleviate the fact you often draw way more MFs than you need if you go with multiple MF-only items. Last but not least, UF is a ranged attack, meaning you can sometime use it to kill low-hp enemies when they least expect it. Shuddering Relic is an awesome alternative, sure, but the Vulnerable can bite you in the back, esp vs wiz teams. The Charm doesn't offer any deck-thinning traits, but it is otherwise extremely consistent, especially if you really care about keeping your other guys fully buffed. I do use the Charm myself, so I assure it can be golden in the right build. Ofc, the Relic might as well be superior into whatever strat you roll with, so it might not be that useful to you.
The Strongarm So I already have one, and occasionally use it in multiplayer, but it seems so boring... most of the time the range of Blazing Shortsword seems better. However, Strongarm is a pretty great value damage wise.
New expansion is coming, new weapons with tokens will be in the game .. and who knows, maybe we wont have the luxury to play tokenless helm/armor any more .. if I'm right, that will make Strongarm even more powerful. its instabuy imho
I have a The Strongarm which I only very rarely use, but I would definitely buy a second one. Ofc, that's unless I was saving up to buy other stuff I might need more, as usual.
Both @Drakkan & @Bandreus have great points. The upcoming expansion may shift warrior's tokens away from weapons to other slots. That said, Blazing Shortsword is also a great tokenless weapon, but maybe Combustible is riskier to run with the expansion? So yeah, not adding really anything to the discussion. Buy it if your gold reserves are bigger than your must have item wishlist. *** My selection of interesting legendaries: Bolg's Big Iron Plate - Nimble flying warriors are more of my thing than surging / lunging crushers. Bynzer's Weighted Club - Barging priests sound like a thing from Peon's Brewery. I don't think I can afford this quirky item. Illusion - It's strong, but I've one already, so maybe I just keep dreaming. Miligar's Dragon Tongue - Ditto. I think owning one is enough, even more than what is the case with Illusion. St. Sebanna's Armor - Has really nice item artwork and could be quite useful against burst wizards, but is it enough?
I need a Bynzer's Weighted Club for my collection, so I'd get that. But only one, and only for collecting. I could see a second Illusion because, like smoke, when you need it, you need it now, so bring plenty. I sometimes use St. Sebanna's Armor with fire wizards, but I wouldn't recommend handing over 2500g for it.
Thanks for the advice! I got the Illusion, hopefully it will do me some good, when I decide to tackle those 1HP quests. New week and new rarities. Quite good selection this week too, but I'm not sure I'll end up buying any legendaries. Bleneth's Frenzy Charm - Really strong, but luckily I've two already. Golden Wings - Burst wizards seem to be stronger in WW / Barrel leagues than flying warriors, so I'm going to skip this, especially since I've already got one. Mokad's Reeking Skull - I've one already and haven't felt the need to build around it, so I'm not going to hoard more. Reaper's Scythe - Does anybody use this in a successful Chess Madness build? I've one already, so you have to convince me pretty hard to pick up another one. Sander's Force Mirror - I've one already and I'm not rich enough to stockpile niche league items. St. Tesrim's Corona - I've bunch of Savage Plates already. This would fit right into anti-Geomancer Elf Vampire build, but that's about it. Xlaka's Sacred Bundle - Quite powerful cards, I think this is my best pick if I want to buy legendaries this week. I'm also looking to buy Maquah Of Ancient Blood to boost up my minor token weapon collection.
Yes, it's a very good divine weapon, especially for a aggro priests. Vamps have other options available, but this wouldn't do too badly on a vamp either. If you want a tad more buffs, Dark Drewg's Mace is a better option.
