I'm thinking I'll buy the current Humble Bundle for the Card Hunter items included in it. I'm wondering if I can apply the pizza and adventures to my current account, or if it will require me to create a new account. I already have played through most of the campaign and don't really want to give up my account name or level 19ish characters.
You can redeem the key on any account that hasn't already purchased the Basic Edition (including existing accounts).
You actually can't redeem a key to the Basic Edition if you already own it. We changed that during testing.
Thanks... Now I'm trying to remember what I purchased during beta. Wasn't there a deal on the basic edition offered? I'm pretty sure I purchased something for $5 or $10 and I thought that it was called a stater edition, but at the same time I know that many of the adventures are still locked for me. So I don't know if the Humble Bundle contains anything I don't already own.
You can see if you own the Basic Edition by bringing up the pizza menu. If you own it, it should be greyed out - i.e. you shouldn't be able to select it and purchase it again.
If you spent real money during beta, then you got the 9 Basic Edition figures when the game went live.
That's probably what I did then, not the adventures but just the pizza and bonus figures. Thanks for the quick replies, everyone. Will finally buy the basic edition when I get home... Long overdue considering how much time I've played Card Hunter already.
Is that right? We did offer two beta specials that included exclusive beta figures but I don't recall crediting the basic edition figures to beta users.
So, if you already have those figures and redeem the basic edition key, you won't get additional copies of those figures (because you can already use them as many times as you want) but you will get everything else in the basic edition (pizza, treasure hunts and club membership).
