I won't be posting the winners at the normal time tomorrow, but the data will be collected and prizes will be distributed later in the day.

I have a good news and a bad news.

The good news is congratulations to Scarponi and Gento who respectivly won 50 and 20 pizza slices.

The bad news is that Karen is on holydays so Flaxative will do the delivery once he has been able to change the tire of his motorcycle.

    Day 5 winners:
    Rank: Scarponi01 (Scarponi) - 50p
    Wins: Gento (Gento) - 20p

Probably going to do a rating reset tonight. Will also be introducing new incentives for playtesting in the next day or so.

So I have an experiment idea which I got from the Mega Feedback Thread.

If you've read that thread you'll be familiar with the Timmy Boy type player that was brought up. Someone who is a self proclaimed bad MP player. I'm not only that, but have very little experience when it comes to MP. I've played a single human and lost pretty handily. My choices during the game and during deck-building are green at best. I'm interested to know if those of you who are most experienced with deck building can make a build with the current changes that even someone as unskilled at MP as me can beat you with. I know some builds have been shared already, but those may be out of date due to the recent rebalancing. Is there value in a test like this? I'm willing to give it a try if we think it'll be worth while.

Yes, I'd love to see more deck-sharing.

The old whirlwind all out obliterating was probably the the best a bad player could do, as it required virtually no planning or positioning.

Vamps are light on tactics but you gotta have the items to build em good. You pretty much just have to avoid overplaying your moves, as that is the big weakness. You won't be able to much against control wizards though.

    Day 6 winners
Rank: Scarponi was a bro and deferred his prize since he wasn't able to play in the last period. So the 50p goes to mitsuaki (Mitsuaki).
    Wins: UiA (UiA) - 20p

  15. I have an issue with the current testing phase of encumberment. If a character can still move 1 regardless of encumberment it more or less defeats the purpose. That character will still be able to step-attack another character from 1 square away

    Pros:
*Being able to avoid a terrain attachment.
*Being able to get away from an attacker.

    Cons:
*Your target will be able to get away from you.
*The highest encumbering method was working fine, it didn't need this added to it.
*Allowing Move 1 will despite encumberment keep the meta in favor of dwarves, throwing potential racial balance out of the window.

Good to know you have an issue... Please playtest to see if your issue holds water, thanks! :)

  18. The issue holds more water than QUASAR APM 08279+5255.

Was it really necessary to remove being rendered immobile from a frost spell? If a character was easily encumbered it was the fault of the person who chose that character, not the spell (i.e. people choosing dwarves for high health, but not wanting to deal with the fact that they can be so easily encumbered).

I did prepare a scenario that has tested the effects of being able to move 1 versus not being able to move at all while encumbered. Play the scenario on the public server, then once more on the test server. You will quickly see the problem.

I'm sorry, but we are more interested in the balance implications for ranked than for custom scenarios.

  20. Just to let it be known, I am not doing this for a reward of any type. Just to shed light on the issue.
