This adventure played a bit more like a puzzle, but with a dragon at the end. It has a lot of new content in it, but at least to me this played the most similar to existing adventures. The difficulty is high, but seemed the easiest of the 3 new adventures to me so far.

    1) The umberhulk things are cool, though in the end I feel like you just play against this like you would control wizards. Take cards that handle terrain enchantments and extra movement options. Sort of feel like a one trick opponent.

    2) The second level was the most difficult for me, but more in terms of a puzzle to solve. Firestorm solves it pretty handily (by avoiding any interaction with the traps). Otherwise I had to try to time turns with good blocks or nimbus to manage attacks. In terms of engaging with the puzzle I almost feel like the traps could have some anti-fire armor, to prevent firestorm shenanigans. They draw so many cards each turn they would always have armor.

    3) I liked that the dragon had a buddy, but this still seemed to be the easiest of the new boss fights. The troll boss get's an artifact buddy and 4 bloody storges by comparison. Maybe it's just because dragons are (sadly) a known quantity and the other bosses had unique attack methods?

You did give him a cool new trick, mystical wyrmhide, so you can't easily encumber him. But, the other anti-dragon tricks work fine, like using nimbus to get him to waste his attacks. The expansion also adds at least two new card types that are really good against the dragon; elven trickery strips his attacks, and the punishment attacks are very good against dragon bosses given their high number of cards.

I just feel like the dragon could be a bit tougher, maybe add a couple of totems?

This adventure was definitely the easiest of the bunch. I lost each level once, didn't have to buy any retries. I used Nimbus and Lifesaving Block to cheese the 2nd map, and it turns out that Nimbus is also very effective against the 3rd map. Touch of Death / Punishing attacks made short work of the totems.

Agreed on the second map here. My wizard with Punishing Bolts one-shotted the traps with nimbus, resist hide (actually didn't draw this on my run through, but still), or Dimensional Traveler and turn priority.

Also agreed on the third stage, it was pretty easy to handle the dragon and Punishing Bolts on the hammer kept it from ever reaching my party. The map being so open is of benefit/detriment to the enemy AI on this one.

Lifesaving block doesn't actually work for me, since the Totem Blast only lists 1 damage.

I'll do likewise tonight and let you guys know what I figure out, either way.

Also, the Dragon battle was 40,000% easier than any of the surrounding battles. All of the new content was massively harder than that single battle. Not quite as much to say that it was anti-climatic or anything, but it was certainly easier.

The second battle was too easy, all you need is one Volcano. GG.

Although, the first time I played that one I got slaughtered by Totem Blast for like 41 damage. I don't know if the idea was to make the totems ridiculously powerful (There is just no way to survive that much damage without Toughness/Nimbus/ a block that doesn't fail!) so that they are a one-hit kill, but that is what it is currently. Thank Gary for the narrow corridors.

First battle was OK with the lava spitters and umber hulks, but still kind of mleh.
As for the dragon... Well it is simple to agree with everyone else. This one was way too easy, Blackhammer did nothing and the dragon was slaughtered while it was busy flinging frost at my priest.

So yeah, this whole adventure was an easy break from the rest of the new content. Go figure.

Regarding Lifesaving Block, perhaps it has been tweaked on Test in a stealth fix to work on any attack that would kill you regardless of the stated up front damage amount?

In running through again, my Lifesaving Blocks are still not working.
