I removed cookies from cardhunter.com but still get complaints about old client version. I'm guessing there are some other obscurely named cookies related to cardhunter client - which are they? Using Firefox in case it matters. Would prefer not to remove all cookies since some are quite useful so if you can point to exact ones would be nice.
Did you try forcing the game to reload (Ctrl + Shift + R in Firefox, as I'm sure you already know)? Maybe it's just that you have the old version of the Flash file in your web cache? I've never had to fiddle with any cookies with Card Hunter, the autoupdating has always happened smoothly.
You should be able to force the client to reload by clearing your cache. We don't use cookies to track what version is being used.
I had this same issue, although it might have happened because I tried to enter the game at the exact time the patching ended. But anyway clicking Shift + Reload a couple of times fixed it.
Yes ctrl+F5 worked, I thought I already tried it but I guess it didn't catch it then. Thanks! I also tried to log in during the update today so that must've caused it to get stuck.
Yep, cache clearing without removing visited URLs etc in Firefox was behind advanced settings. Here it is for further reference: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/how-clear-firefox-cache
