Hello all, starting yesterday I cannot start the game from my computer. Upon clicking "Play Now" the message I get is always: "Card Hunter is currently down for maintenance. Please try again in a few minutes. Try Again" I Managed to do a test with a friend's pc and from there the game runs normally. I did not change anything on the first machine preferences or configuration or browser: simply since the application of the latest patch the game does not start. I was left with just 4 days of Premium so I will not lose much, anyway it's a shame p.s. sorry for my english, not my native language.
Clear your web cache, an old game version on your PC is probably the problem. The game is working fine for other players.
Thanks for the reply and sorry for not having specified this before but I already tried to: - wipe out my web cache - trying another browser (Safari, standard is Firefox) - uninstalling/reinstalling the flash player with no luck
Sorry to hear that. There's lots of other things you can try here: http://forums.cardhunter.com/threads/cant-connect-to-game.1938/ For some people, the problem has been that their Internet provider has blocked access to the game site. Hope you get it working!
Thanks again for the tip, I read and tried all solutions suggested (some of wich I alredy tried before) again with no luck. It seems really to be connected somehow to the new patch: I was able to clear Garnet Demon Portal the other day for the Loot Fairy but when I came for the second run I found the server in maintenance and it has been giving me this result ever since. Guess BM has changed something that blocks me from accessing the server. I'll try to post my case in the thread you linked, perhaps if the matter comes at the attention of a dev my problem may be resolved.
If anyone successfully overcomes this problem, please let us know. The easy way is just to use a brand-new browser that you have never used before; if that doesn't work it must be Flash player.
It looks like there might be a problem with our new SSL certificate. As far as I can see, this only affects Firefox. I know you said you tried Safari, but please try Chrome or Internet Explorer. In the meantime, we'll work on a fix.
OK, I think I've fixed this now. There was a problem with the SSL certificate. Please try again and let us know.
Thanks a lot Jon, I can confirm I'm again able to access the game. And now, where did that Loot Fairy go?
