Ouch! Didn't notice that until Flax mentioning it... is this some kind of mistake, or do BM want less gold Leagues per day? If that's the case, would Jon or anybody from the team elaborate on that more? Did you feel like people was accumulating too much loot too much conveniently? Any other reasons behind the new scheduling?
Yup my guesses would be extending the duration of the event while reducing the number of prizes given out (22 epic chests and 35 Magni won so far for me with the free leagues, that's quite a bunch) or they are testing different gaps between leagues for the next pizza leagues.
The simplest explanation would be that league attendance has been falling and Jon adjusted supply to demand to keep things fresh and to keep leagues populated enough for everyone to have enough opponents to have a good user experience. The same lengthening of the time gap between leagues happened with a previous league set after a while.
True but it happened when people complained about the league schedule and Jon explained that, in response, he was changing to a 9-hour rotation.
At that time Jon said in response to "2nd time now that i wait for ages and i don`t get any opponents in the league": "Yeah, I think I'll reduce the league frequency. Hopefully each instance will fill better." What about this is in disagreement with my "league attendance has been falling and Jon adjusted supply to demand"?
I have never experienced any trouble to fill a pod or to get a match during those gold leagues and I played many.
Well, I was just speculating as to a possible reason for the schedule change. Only Jon knows the facts. If there has been a definitive attendance downturn, he has the server stats to see it. I just feel that is the simplest and the most likely explanation. It could of course nevertheless be something else.
