Few quick fixes based on play and feedback over the weekend. Leagues League games award prizes as per regular ranked games. Geomancer league only requires 4 stars to win. Multiplayer Shrunk Ziggurat board Leaderboard shows 1800+ icon. Reconnection Fix ordering of rejoining a battle when assets are already streamed (i.e. on relog instead of refresh). Fixes pieces not dropping/cards not activating when reconnecting without refreshing client. Story Fixed typos in scenarios, prompts and module covers Figures Removed the sale on celestial figures. Added back the missing beta human priest figure.
Good fixes, I think. The only thing I would also change is some of the leagues' time limits. 20 minutes per player in geomancers seems too much, more when now you only need 4 stars to win. And, on the other hand, I think 10 minutes in Wicked Waterways is very little time, at least 2 minutes more (12) per player would be nice, as there are a lot of matches that are ending because of the short time limit now.
So what you're saying is, we typo-lovers should enjoy what you've created for us as much as we can, while we can, for the hand that giveth also taketh away?
I really liked Geo exactly as it was - it was my favorite league. I liked that it was a longer chess match (actually came back from a 2-4 score to win a game) made for a very different style of play. I'm sure it'll continue to be fun, just think it will be a little closer to everything else now. I liked the variety.
About geos, you should change the resurection card. Actually, resurecting a dead character costs the priest's entire hand. Resurected guy come back with 5 hp and 0 card at a random location. That leaves just one guy who can potentially save the life of the resurected. Point is the returned from the dead is really easy to kill again and the second kill give 2 stars again. So my suggestion to make it at least a lil bit playable, make it so that opponant lose two VP if you revive a dead character.
Yes, Resurrection is a terrible card. The Geomancers League, unlike AoA, has some issues with the enormous difference between some really OP cards and the rest. If you draw Pool of Lava and Accelerated Time, you have a big advantage over your opponent. You just have to put the lava under all of the opponent's characters, while your opponent can only get one of them out, and then it's 8 damage to the 2 or 3 of them, near half of their life.
This play is what I see as potentially problematic with only 4 stars to win. But it's just a test build so I'm happy to wait and see how it plays out.
I'd guess this build is going to go live soon since it's full of fixes, if anyone has any misgivings about the geomancy victory point change I'd suggest playing some casual matches on the test server and seeing firsthand whether it's an improvement or not.
Resurrection is a pretty bad card at the moment, I agree. We might make a better version of it or buff it.
