The Loot Fairy will appear even if it's your first time; I saw that yesterday at Arena Finals (and will see it again if I manage to beat both Astral Shrines before reset). The chest rarities are not affected by whether it's your first time or not. With a few exceptions[1], the last chest is always two Common+ and two Uncommon+. But some modules give you specific items the first time you complete them; these items replace the Uncommon+. The Adventures table has columns labelled First Time Loot and First Time Loot 2. So far, the Loot Fairy hasn't appeared anywhere that has First Time Loot. [1] Weird final chests: Level 1 modules don't have anything extra in the final chests (except for First Time Loots). The 2 level 6 Kobold Mines use a special loot table instead of the second Uncommon+, so you often get 3 Commons there. Slub Gut is supposed to be the same, but I've always gotten at least 2 Uncommon+ there. Garnet Portal and Batford give 2 Common and 3 Uncommon because they're so big.
We have data points bracketing T+7 and T-108 (~2 hours) for T=shop reset time, so it probably just resets at the same time as the shops.
Yeah that seems to be when it resets. It takes us time to find it, but I would guess they would link it to the same timing. When they reset the shops, they also reset the previous days beaten single player adventures (the MP chest awards too). It makes since to move the fairy when all the adventures reset creating the "fairy hunt" we all participate in. Not sure if it was intended exactly, but if nothing else it drives a lot of people to the forums. Give people a common goal, and let them run with it.
That is tricky. If multiple people start editing and recording from the forums, there might be dupes. Keep calm and carry on.
Yeah. I'll just manage it for now. I can essentially guarantee that Loot Fairy resets at 0 UTC; I've had some of my IRL friends who play Card Hunter check for the Fairy around 0 UTC, both before and after—right before 0 UTC, it is where we've found it; after 0 UTC, it's moved. Makes sense that it would be in sync with the stores and adventure reset.
Did we figure out what happens if you complete a quest on the module where the loot fairy lurks? Do you just get the gold chest? Is it better than normal? I assume either way you cannot redo the module until the next day.
The quest is totally normal—no Loot Fairy—, and completing a quest doesn't deactivate an adventure. So you can do a quest and then complete the adventure normally, in the same day.
