Hi, I'm on my first run through the campaign and all my characters are lvl 11. I've used the same dudes since the very start and the first warrior (the one you make in the tutorial as the first one) has the lowest EXP count (4/20 lvl 11, while the wizard and priest got 8/20) is that correct? I have never changed my team so it's weird that the 'oldest' dude has fewer EXP than the 'younger' ones? Is that a bug?
Heh heh heh . . . sorry, not laughing at you, just at how many times I've explained this to new players recently. It seems to be my lot on these forums because I'm the one who figured out the XP values in the first place. See, your different characters can gain different amounts of XP from the same adventure. Compare your character's level to the adventure's level, and if you are: Then all you need is for characters to be on opposite sides of a level divide and POOF things switch around. Awhile ago, I did the math so that you could get your three starting adventurers to have completely equal XP, but I can't seem to find it anymore.
This, incidentally, means you can level your second or third set of characters frightfully fast by tackling quests that are 2+ levels above them with the good gear you have acquired from the first party.
that's awesome game design! I thought of it being rather tedious to replay stuff for the sake of lvling up a char or two but it's not as bad as I thought
