I never, never play games using a free-to-play mechanism. It's one of my golden rules of gaming. This is the first game that looked fun enough to make me ignore that rule.

I brought some pizza so I could access the treasure hunt quests, paid with PayPal ... and nothing happened. I emailed support, and it turns out that it's going to take a full week to get anything credited to my account because of PayPal e-cheques clearing, meaning I don't get access to the quests I wanted to access until then (by which point my characters will be so advanced if I carry on playing the campaign that the lower level treasure hunt quests won't be anywhere near as fun to play). So I'm left with either doing that and not doing the treasure hunt quests until I'm done with the rest, or stopping playing the game for a week until my pizza arrives.

If using PayPal would or could cause this issue, it should have been indicated before purchase. I could just as easily have used a different payment method.

This was a cool game, but this has pissed me off so much that my interest in it has faltered. I don't like being screwed around, and everything I hate about free-to-play games seems to have been justified. You've lost a customer.

If your party is more than 2 levels above the module level, the game will automatically set your chars' health and power tokens to what they would be at 2 levels above. So for Defense of Woodhome you can't use more than 2 minor tokens, no matter how high your chars actually are when you play it. Try replaying some of the beginning dungeons to see how this works (it doesn't affect equipment slots, just health and power tokens).

So you're not playing because Paypal sucks sometimes? Righhhttttt. Makes total sense.

Also, no matter the issue with Pay Pal - you can always start a second party from lvl 1 and enjoy them for the loot and challenge. I understand why you're upset - but this sounds more like an issue with Pay Pal rather than something the devs are responsible for. Shouldn't PP give you a heads up on these kind of things?
