Bad Medicine is not a card in the game I think. Same with Wavering Faith. So no, we can't print an item with them Any submission with one of those cards will be rejected out of hand, same as a submission that has other nonexistent cards (Pulverizing Spark? Obliterating Thrust?).

In my lexicon, both are synonyms for the same admirable quality.

 

Massive Chop keeps getting mentioned. I wonder about something like this:

And I'd really like Wimpy to see more play. Currently it's only available to humans and warriors. So I could resurrect my "intern's rule" submission but perhaps it would be better to go boots so that wizards could use it for moving their own guys harmlessly with winds and gusts. (I think specifically of not wanting to destroy fragile frenzy armor.)

With the healing and the quick run, it might even tempt vamps to risk the wimpy for multiple cantrip moves.

I'll also put in my requests for returns from Aloyzo's arsenal 3 which had a lot of great possibilities: We all want Raise The Alarm so bring back one of those submissions. Also we need the pickpocket card in the game so resubmit that.

 

You can play with Equipment.csv and dig all kinds of item related data.

Here are some numbers to get you started:

• CH has 1,832 equippable aka non-treasure items (+ Rusty Shield, Cloth Boots, Moldy Cloth Boots & The Goldleaf Blade + holiday re-skins + 17 default slot items: Bare Arms, Bare Feet, etc.)
• Those 1,832 items contain total of 7,008 cards and 414 different / unique cards.
• Top 7 most plentiful cards in items:
  1. Simple Bash (80)
  2. Simple Strike (56)
  3. Bludgeon (54)
  4. Reliable Mail (51)
  5. Bash, Chop & Reliable Hide Armor (50)

If you're going for the cool, but currently unplayable card category this month, I'd stay away from cards like Strong Hack (48), Strong Bludgeon (47), Flanking Move (46), Stone Spikes (42), Firestorm (41), Lunging Bash (41), Sundering Strike (41), Dodge (39) & Blind Rage (36) to name but a few.

Five melee attacks and not one magic attack within the most plentiful. Huh.

 

It's almost like Warriors are bland and boring and reuse the same stuff over and over... :-P

L&L came out with a ton of cool Warrior cards from what I remembered from the previews.

 

Does anyone actually use entangling vines? Does anyone actually wish it were playable?

 

more items with roots would ofc be welcome. I won't entertain the notion that the card itself is unplayable.

 

I'd say they are way too strong and having them be really viable would be annoying.

Unplayable because of items....my first ideas are Acid Jet and Spreading Laser, I guess, and Jims Magic Missile....not sure if a staff with all 3 of those would be doable, though.

 

@ flax, I'm probably not doing it in this contest, but what i the stance on new movement cards on weapon assuming it is not a move 4-8 space card? (and if there's a new reject content, can I change 1 card from the submittted item(I Always wanted it to have that card, but while similar to cards already in the slot it wasn't in that slot).

 

There's no concrete stance on that; if the item design is good and we're not worried about the balance, it'll be considered.

If you want to change a submission just edit your post (or delete and repost, up to you) before the contest deadline.

 

I think he's asking whether a resubmission of an item for a past Aloyzo's has to be exactly the same, or if he can change a card—

 

Oh. Uh. I'd say no, unless the edited item now fits the 2nd category of submissions.

 

What about an arcane item with short spark, melt armor, and force bolt? Or to makeboth melee wizards and electromancers more viable: a bash instead of a force bolt. :,0

Not really sure what to do for this month. I'd rather design a new item, but I don't have any idea what cards are underplayed because I'm mostly a campaign player. Does anyone ever use a robe with Arcane Shell? I feel like they probably don't, but I could easily be wrong.

 

I prefer the other version of arcane shell (arcane aura which is already playable).
