I heared "no more multiple copies of the same card" is a more strongly enforced principle now.
Answering another concern, none of the cards seem badly itemized. what bears the question - Do old submissions have to answer to that criteria?

 

I always found Pressing Bash to not be particuarly well itemized, less because the items with it are bad (because they're all good in certain circumstances) but more because it's on very few items in general. I don't think resubmissions have to reitemize a card better anyways, I was just hoping my item would be considered twice

Should be a mix of attacks and priest spells, also be sure not to go for shady handicap deals to achieve low token cost.

 

Is anyone thinking of making a better Sizzling Bolt staff? It's a decent card without very good itemization, mostly because ember burst is usually better.

 

it isnt on any of the exceptional fire staffs, and there are quite a few of those. To equal them you would have to introduce quite the powerhouse of an item, and we know what that means for your AA chances.

Sizzling Bolt isn't unplayable due to itemization; Furnace Staff is perfectly good staff when it comes to Min-Maxing said card to your deck.

Yeah, but the ranges are torn. If you get sizzling with range in mind, then you get 2 dead cards within that strategy. A staff thats more like 6, 7, 10 with sizzling is yet to be created.

 

Really? A staff that has Four Sizzling Bolts and still hits the sweet spot at lvl 13 isn't good enough for you? You'd probably be only satisfied with two cycling handicaps instead of those Burning Fingers.

Also this months AA restrictions clearly say that "you can submit any item that includes a card that you think is cool, but currently unplayable due to itemization." that's why I don't think Sizzling Bolt qualifies as a card to built on.

 

Youre the one insisting on extremes, i just would welcome a new mix containing sizzling bolt. As you stated, you almost have to max it out when you want it, unless you go for the arcane skills.
Sizzling bolt is the highest unboosted damage fire can reach, would be a nice finisher if more accessable. Roaring staff might be the best option atm if you want to avoid the seemingly obligatory spray/fingers.

 

What about that 3x sizziling bolt / 3x flame spit staff? Seems like it might be viable with flame warpers.

 

I was serious. Since I've used that combination. What about Sabo's Spitfire staff x2 with 4 flame warpers? It's like Dhalsim has invaded Cardhuntria.

 

i actually would love to see burning fingers elsewhere, like on a tokenless arcane item with some sort of control or armor removal, something that fits. Combining sizzling and burning fingers sadly doesn't.
"Unplayable" is pretty contextual, not to mention subjective. Given that PvP isnt in the AA focus anyway, about any item can shine somewhere in the SP adventures. I think the credo is "better items for underplayed cards".

 

I don't think the staff is bad, I thought you were playing oblivious since Robauke mentioned the same staff 5 minutes before you did.

Its the least flawed sizzling bolt staff but cant match the other fire staves at that tokencost. Anyway, lets not get caught up on sizzling bolt forever. As takeaway, its not easy to assess what people consider underused.

 

Since we're on the theme of Staves, is like to see a staff that'd help melee/close range wizards out more. I know, probably not something many people do, but still, I think it could be fun.
