That is correct. I believe the individual was treating the announcement of the winner and its implementation as more or less one event, as they seemed to have little prior knowledge about AA.

Regardless, I, too, am very anxious for this round! Its the first time I've submitted an item. Looking back, I regret my submission, but, eh, maybe I'll at least manage a mention in Flax's video.

 

Hey guys, I had debated whether or not to even run an AA for January since we got about a week behind on AA5 and I was going to be traveling for 2 weeks around the new year. I decided to go for it but as you can see there's quite a bit of lag. I hope to announce the winner today or tomorrow, but AA6 and MM probably won't go live until next month, so I'm going to not open a new AA until mid Feb. Sorry! In the meantime, test your skills in the smithy. =)

 

But.....Smithy doesn't give us that satisfyingly frustrating restriction you always throw our way.... >.>

 

So let @Dieben run a contest, pick a winner, and handle the riot as well. The winning item won't be added to the game, but that isn't necessarily a bad thing.

We need more loofs. Maybe Ozyola can hold one as well! The restrictions may be the same or different, but I hope at least one will allow my Flaming Marshmallow Bomb. (Sweet, sticky, and searing. Great for distracting giant ants, but this may require targeting your most expendable party member. May self-target, but we know that ain't happening.)

 

Laughed a little too much at this. Probably including Globe of Flame, maybe Entangling Roots?

I seriously wish we had gotten something that is already rarely seen on items and in smaller amounts, ie. Laser Cutdown, Flaring Laser, Destructive Purge, Rocket Dash, but I don't want to sound like a whiny kid so...

Whoa dude, it's not like everyone who's not mentioned in the video sucks at designing items...

But also, your item had Garalem in its name, so a bit of a flavor fail IMHO.

 

Another item that won't see any use. At least it is a rare so it won't be hard to find for collection purpose.

Just my personal opinion of my own skills.

The fact that the name itself made it not so great speaks volumes to my crafting skill, IMHO. (even though I thought names could be edited as necessary, but oh well)
So, following the naming pattern of in-game items with three words all starting with the same letter is a bad idea? Good info for others in future contests. (unless I was the only one doing that)

 

The video reinforced my impression that the challenge is about nothing but lining a name with corresponding cards. Within the overall framing of balance of course.
