Death March would be the quickest league - you could play all four matches in about 20 seconds of play time. First to draw WoS wins.

 

It's hard to only choose one item, especially when there is such a fun theme.
I had so much more fun ideas.
May be I'll share them after the contest.

 

It didn't work that way when we could stack 16, of course WW(E) was global back then.
If you could only get 4 in a deck, the game would probably be decided before you drew one.

 

It may happen sometime, but given that there aren't any really cool monsters with Wall of Stone I doubt we'll see a winning item this month with the card.

 

True. I used my Twizel's Talismans yesterday with two Illusions. If both terrains show up, it can actually work better. It's fairly reliable with 12 and 10 of each, but a lapse of either might get get you killed.
I know we won't get the numbers we had before, but for some reason I love to hear the cries of dismay about WoS (or Illusory Barrier, for that matter). Neither is that hard to beat, even in Deathmarch.
Putting Blooming Ground on a player card, however, would be a legitimate reason for panic in MP.

 

One thing I was tempted to do when the first AA was announced, was to make a new item called The Goldleaf Blade or The Blade of Goldleaf with the items:

totally new.

 

I see some people submitting items and then discussing about alternatives and variations. I'm pretty sure the rules are clear :
"• DO NOT submit any accompanying explanation of why your item should be selected. Submit only the above 4 pieces of information. Submitted items should not be discussed anywhere until after submissions are closed."

It also make sense that you should not do that. During an exam, you wouldnt answer question 1 with answer B and add : no wait may be its C !

But I understand the feeling, and want to ask : are winning items subject to modifications before craft ? to what extend ?
Was this comprehensivly discussed elsewhere ?

 

Thanks Pyrogoth. I feel like I've made myself pretty clear about what I'm looking for, and if folks are expecting their discussion to help them win they'll be sorely disappointed.

Looks like most people have been doing a good job this time. But Phantom_Sun posted way too much(you could put it in spoilers), also Pyrogoth should put the picture(of tentacles) in spoilers. Everyone else did fine.

 

Speaking as a person who appreciates that rules and authority give us order: it's really easy to see something over and over and over, get swept up, forget the details of what was said in the first place, and "follow a multitude to break rules" (to paraphrase the original quote). I've edited the alternative name out of my entry. Thank you both. $:^ ]

 

This month was so fun I didn't even try to find a rules loophole. =)
