    Every game deserves a 2Fort!

This scenario mixes sniper lanes with split VPs to recreate the classic 2Fort experience.
Reduced time limits make stalemates less tedious, and doors (in fixed mode) add an extra dimension of defensive fun.

Two Forts - this version at least - comes in Fixed and Party flavours, so you can play using fixed decks from the campaign or your own character sets.

Crits and mods welcome and appreciated, as always.
    Enjoy!

Dammit Farbs, I am just barely holding myself back from joining the club yet. Why would you tempt me like this? :p

Nice job Farbs! This is really cool, and I think it could be a fun short league. (5-10 min timer) Great-looking map, too.

Gonna make some suggestions if that's ok :)

    1. I'm not sure how necessary the doors are — they add another figure to tinker with every turn as it draws immovable, and I'd guess the scenario plays fine without the door. Also, putting the door on difficult terrain means your own figures can't move through the door. I think it'd be better if the doors just weren't there.

2A. The river should be impassable, not difficult terrain—after all, we're high up on the tops of towers!

2B. This includes the 2-tile section in the middle of the bridge. To allow play over these tiles, you could put 2x Leap into the Elite Guard's deck (replacing 1 Run and 1 Shield Block, maybe). Can easily make a clone with slightly altered deck if we want to preserve the current Elite Guard deck.

    3. Alonzo is a fun character to use, but you should swap him out for a more generically named copy of him. Also we could maybe take Dropped Guard out of his deck, as it does nothing (he has no armor/blocks).

    4. The servant!

I'm not super excited bout drawing Energizes, though Team Shifts are cool. It'd be nice to see a custom support character instead of the Servant, maybe a cross between Servant and Father Gregory (one of the AI priests)—so you can retreat to your victory point with your fighter to get a bit of healing. Also maybe increase its HP by 1 so that Tricky Stab doesn't one-shot the servant.

Current Human Servant - 5 hp
    Weak Strike,3
    Raise the Alarm,3
    Team Shift,3
    Energize,3
    Trip,1
    Fumble,1
    Run,3

Human Servant That'd Be More Fun In This League - 6 hp
    Simple Strike,2
    Raise the Alarm,3
    Team Shift,3
    Heal,1
    Light Heal,3
    Trip,1
    Fumble,1
    Run,3

    :D

    Ha! Some great ideas.

As you can probably see from the date of the OP, I built this scenario about a year before leagues existed. In fact, I think at this point custom scenarios were still a supporter-only feature and we had only just turned on billing, and the beta was still closed to most people. So... yeah. That's why not much has happened w/ this map :)

Looking back at it now, I think I'd probably use the new team victory squares, which would free up the servant character slot to become a support class that might need LoS. I'd also turn on respawning, perhaps every 3rd round, and turn off kill points, and consider a ton of minor layout tweaks. Oh, and yeah the doors should probably go. I'm not sure about changing the swampy terrain to impassable, since battling over LoS is really what 2Fort is all about. In fact I'm even tempted to add in the sewer entrance, which is currently just represented by the staircases into darkness.

And then we can start thinking about deck changes :)

Suggestions for a good support class (some sort of medic cleric perhaps?) would be cool if you have 'em.

If each player controls one door, I think Sprint, Team! in someone's deck could be really interesting.

    Looks good,
    like the idea,
at the risk of being a broken record,
my only criticism would be i think
that the space between is a little large

I didn't notice the date. Just assumed BVD hadn't necro'd something over a year old :(

:D - but still this is a great map and just (as Farbs said) with a little tweaking would (as you said) make for a good league :p

Yeah, flip the top fort around and have a path "underground" for the sewer.

Add a path up top that is only accessible by Fly (Scout / Rocket Jump / Sticky Jump). :-P

I remember playing on this map when you very first tested co-op. Fun times.

The biggest problem though is full map visibility. If you know where the enemy is coming then it kind of changes everything. Wonder what it would be like if there was fog of war...

I was actually considering not flipping the fort, so the two sewer access lanes wouldn't line up. Feel free to muck about with this map if you want to try new things though.
Fog of war would be interesting, but our network model really doesn't like hidden information.

Cards are hidden though! Or are they....

Haha. Yes, cards are hidden. But I pretty much have to go into a trance to work with that code. Adding another hidden information system to this game might kill me.

but i still i think it would be a good idea - try to find a way to add Fog of War in - you could make a Tag which turns Fog of War on or somthing :)
