Auto-target confused by multiple target attacks?

And a few times recently (at least once in the latest build, possibly a couple times before also) I've played a Chop and been asked to choose target 1 of 2, and once I do that, it auto-selects the second as if just then realizing there were only two enemies in range. It doesn't happen every time, and I think there are usually allies also in range when it does. I'll try to get a screenshot next time I see it.

Yeah, we should pick that up and auto-pick for you. A screenshot would be much appreciated.

Just happened again, but this time only one enemy in range:

Looking at that closely, I see my priest is also highlighted.

Just to clarify the 3 elves are on the same team. I know this because I recognize this as a game against my two humans and dwarf! :)

You haven't turned off auto-targeting have you? Or are you perhaps holding down the Ctrl key while clicking the card?

No, it happens when you have one opponent and one friendly next to you consistently.

No, I never turn off auto-target, and I never ctrl-click (even when I should).

Not perfectly consistent; I had a later fight where I chopped with one enemy and one ally in range, and the auto-target selected the enemy right away.

    OK, I'll look into this.

I cannot repro this except by holding down the control key. I set up the same situation as in your screenshot:

    chop1.jpg

It successfully picks the single enemy (human wizard) target.

Then, when I hold the control key:

    chop2.jpg

I get the behaviour you describe.

If you can figure out what's going on here, I'd be most appreciative.

Is it possible that the control key is sticking somehow? It could be that we're not detecting it coming up properly or something like that. Or maybe there's another key that triggers manual target selection.

Another possibility - someone else playing on the same PC who has turned auto-targeting off?

Or there's some logic issue that I haven't figured out yet.

I almost never use the crtl key in battle, I never turn off auto-targeting, and no one else uses this computer. It doesn't seem to be happening as often any more, but if I see it again I'll try to get another screenshot and battle log.

Okay, here's an example (Esammae is standing on the victory square):

BATTLE LOG: Scenario=Streams,Room=kalin vs zengar,RoomID=32649,Msg=The active player is now kalin
    stopTimer 1 1049
    BATTLE LOG: Player=kalin,Scenario=Streams,Room=kalin vs zengar,RoomID=32649,Event=PlayAction,Action=Strong Chop,Instigator=Esammae,Targets=Hohkier
    startTimer 0 1062
    BATTLE LOG: Player=kalin,Scenario=Streams,Room=kalin vs zengar,RoomID=32649,Event=TriggerSucceed,Trigger=Mass Frenzy,TriggeringActor=Esammae,AffectedActors=,TriggerType=Action,TriggerLocation=ActorAttachment

And what the heck is going on with those timers?

I think I see the problem - Strong Chop is a two colour card (Attack/Boost) and the auto-targeting system doesn't handle that properly.

This should be fixed in the next build.
