I bet it will , every game should wipe the chars at least before going into open beta to make it fair to everybody. Some even do it before launch after open beta though those are mostly monthly subscription based ones.
Betas usually do this (almost always actually), so you shouldn't be surprised. Also, it wouldn't be fair to us not in the beta if it didn't, especially when it comes to multiplayer. But yeah, remember you're testing the game and a lot of things might change or get added before it's wiped and you start again, so it might not feel as bad.
