I want to try farm lvl 6 items. Can I play lvl 5-7? Or more? Is there any point farming lvl 6 since they give mostly treasure? K
I've gotten lv15 items from the lv17 adventures before. So it's at least +2 and -2. Not sure if different relative levels appear at different frequencies though.
Good question actually. My educated guess is that there is a ± 2 level difference in dropped loot compared to the adventure.
I saw level 13 - level 18 items dropping multiple times from a level 16 adventure today. Also, based on the frequency of the items of different levels I'd say the system seems to work this way: all of the ± 1 level items are put in a pool and an item is randomly selected from those, or there is some slight weighting to favor the nominal level. The ± 2 or even 3 items seem to have a lower drop rate (small sample and no record-keeping so not very scientific). I base this deduction on this info from the wiki: Level Common Uncommon Rare Epic Legendary Total 15 43 36 27 30 34 170 16 9 8 7 9 9 42 17 12 11 9 5 2 39 Note that there are much more level 15 items than there are level 16 items. I saw this when I repeatedly played a level 16 adventure stage 1. I got mostly level 15 items and just a few level 16 or 17 ones. I also got almost as many level 13 ones than level 16.

Intro level really didn't answer what they were asking though, it is simply to make sure that some complex item wont show up too early. Most items has an intro level very low. What they were asking however is which item level can drop of a certain module level, which concern item level, not item intro level.

That data was from MP which we know any item can drop. Jon's reply answer how item is decided to drop, not which level range. I can understand if Blue Manchu do not want to reveal this info to avoid SP farming. The main question of this thread remain unanswered.
I took Jon's answer to mean the how the loot drop algorithm works whenever a chest is opened, irrespective of SP/MP. I recall Sir Knight successfully farming mid-lvl campaigns based on it. Then again, the answer was way back in May. There might have been some changes since.
