The first time this happened, I wasn't so sure. I couldn't remember the name of the item, but I remembered its stats. After I completed the mission, nothing in my inventory matched the stats. So I thought, "maybe I didn't actually sign up to the club correctly". So I did it again. This time I know I was charged through PayPal. Just finished the mission with the trees in the forest (level 7). The Club Item reward was the "Lunging Glaive". Sure enough, post battle, it wasn't in my inventory. Bummer, since I paid for it. Paid twice actually.
Does it show you being a member of the club when you relog (so it's possible to count out issues with payment not going through)? Does the club reward appear on the pillow in a plastic case or not (so it's possible to tell if there's some kind of membership glitch)? (also, you have checked your paypal transaction history in case of club membership not sticking?)
How do I know its showing me as a member when I relog? The option to "join" is always present - otherwise I'm not seeing any indication that I'm a club member. Also, when I click on the join button, it just seems that a player could keep "rejoining" and paying. There's no indication that you're already a member. The purchase doesn't get stopped. At the end of a battle, the reward appears on the pillow in the plastic case, but I can't click it or open it. I know I HAVE received other club member rewards - they appear in my inventory after the battle. It just twice that I noticed items I really liked, and wanted to equip right away, and they weren't there. I'm using PayPal just FYI. I just check the payment records. I made a payment of $5 on the 13th, and another payment of $10 on the 18th. The charges have definitely gone through.
Paypal should not have anything to do with joining the club. You actually need to pay the club membership with pizza (that you get from your paypal purchase). It sounds to me as if you have not actually spent your pizza on the club membership. You should see a golden flag where you can join the club with the number of days left. And the pillow box should always be open.
If it still says join rather than glows golden and shows an amount of days left, you have not managed to join (multiple joins would get stacked in time). Thus you're not getting the guaranteed loot - but now there's the issue of why joining didn't go through. The club shouldn't switch on and off - never heard of such an issue, but I guess anything's possible - and the devs will sort it out in that case. Have you checked that maybe you still have the amount of pizza you bought to begin with - or have you lost 2x of the club value? (which could indicate what Turinturamba suggests)
