Abilities like the added damage from Unholy Wellspring do not trigger on Touch of Death, so apparently it doesn't count as an attack. It doesn't say anywhere in the card that it's not an attack, it's colored red and it even has the keyword "Penetrating", so I assume this is a bug and it should get the boost from abilities incraesing damage of all attacks.
